Its as simple as this we have 2 first rounders in next years draft.

If Dusty leaves then we bleed the recipient of 2 more first rounders.

Of course we want him to stay but if he wavers and wants to go then we strike to maximise the return.
This.............if he stays great if not we have 4 first round picks, win win

Your an angry man Leon...

I think its fair to say 99.9% of RFC supporters want Dusty to stay in Y&B, outside of this were all speculating..

The thing that make me most uneasy is his flog of a manager, rarely would he see pay days like Dustys commission so the flog would IMO be providing advice that best suits his bottom line perhaps, hopefully the more mature Dusty can make the decisions himself and the flog will follow instructions..

No, you mistake anger for irony, having a dig at some on PRE. Most of us surely value our commitment to the club far beyond one key, currently contracted employee. Forest for a tree!

I'm quietly confident Dusty IS more mature and realistic these days. After his ludicrous flirtation with that GWS visit before his 2nd last deal, encouraged by that flog, his following contract negotiations were a non-event. There's evidence he's learnt there.

Other clubs would be silly not to go hard for him as a free agent.

Will be interesting to see if his contract talks get delayed till the post-season.

Just hoping we don't get stooged with compensation picks if he signs elsewhere.

Perhaps the compensation would be adequate to cover the acquisition of Fyfe?

Could we afford both?

Hopefully Dusty sees a game plan built to win, a club destined to succeed and a passion in the playing group that he enjoys and sees the value in staying. If none of this happens he is gone.

Better hope the coaches have finally got it right this offseason then.

To do this in one year Bernie has to be reincarnated into a Clarko & Bevvo clone. Not gunna happen.

Well I hope she is right. For some reason I just can't trust her.

Hopefully signs again for less than what he could obtain on the open market, leaving us with more than enough cap space to sign Fyfe as a free agent.

Keeping Martin, signing Fyfe, and using 2 x first round draft picks at seasons end will have us in a terrific situation where our list is concerned.

Just need to shore up another ruckman to cap it all off.

Probably dreaming but keeping Martin and signing Fyfe is achievable - we have cap space.

Fyfe was a Tiger supporter as a kid btw.

This could quickly turn into a circus. Just what
we dont need this year. Hopefully he is signed up sooner
rather than later

Peggy said "Dusty is happy at Punt Road " !!. Her words not Dusty's. Actually everything is happy at Punt Road at the moment is it not ?. For how long I do suppose we shall have to wait until the whips start cracking end of March. Until then be HAPPY.

Really really a long shot to sign Fyfe and almost impossible if Dusty stays imo - But doable only if we shed some dead weight

Hampson,Hunt,Grigg,Morris & Lennon will all need to be cleared and replaced with draftee's saving $1 million

I reckon Yarran must be atleast $400k. We're on our way!

Dusty isn't going anywhere else but Tigerland.

The rest of the footy clubs, and the AFL, know what he is, having rejecting his sales pitch a few years ago.

Richmond should knuckle down and offer him a low contract and not be blackmailed, or sucked in, to pay him overs, like what happened a couple years ago.

His last contract extension went without a hitch. He's since been 2nd & 1st in the b&f, 7th and 3rd in the Brownlow. Why would we lowball him?
