Now Caro is going with the 1.2mil , 6 to 7 year deal as well, hopefully Dusty hasn't set her up for some fake news

If he wins a brownlow as a Tiger then leaves, the merch sales will be done and dusted. He loses big time there and so does any club that has him.
If he wants to leave for money, he has no choice but to play at a club with no flag in the next 5 years at least, because a team with a strong list cannot pay him 1.5mill, if he wants a flag he needs to go for unders, which the Tigers can match easily or get a nice trade for.

News increasing about Dusty - Caroline Wilson is reporting he will stay.
“I think Dustin Martin will accept a six to seven-year deal worth around $1.1 to $1.2 million a year to stay at Tigerland,” she said on 3AW Football.
"The offer has got to the point where it's acceptable for him. I think he wants to accept it. I think his manager agrees."

You also sell him short re what he does off the field for the club. And at the end of the day he does it where it really counts - on the field.

What does marketing value even mean? He's a gun, most influential player in the game, so what else is he supposed to do? There are plenty of others like Jack, Rance, Cotchin, etc that can blab at the media. It *smile* me how people devalue him because of some perceived shortcoming in vague marketing terms.
