Fyfe supposedly re-signed for $1.2 mill pa for 6 years

Hutchy on Footy Classified insisted on calling Danger "the best player", I think he was trying to start an argument about Dusty's claim to that mantle. He's a slime, couldn't get a bite. Also I like how Tigers in the top 4 with the probable Brownlow medallist (and maybe 2 in the team) is not much of a story. But the Pies are a huge story. Collingdud hasn't been the centre of the footy world for a decade, it's past time the journos moved on.

Maybe, maybe not but he is probably worth more than that at the moment. Like the lids five year deal. Towards the end $500k was chicken feed.
 
The Merkin spotted at Lygon Street tonight having dinner with two Carlton officials. I think Merkin barracks for the Blooze. Looks like he is going for our jugular.

The Merkin used to be on the Carlton board I think, either that or he used to be tied in very highly with the Carltonians.
 
Carr has been to Tassie to watch the kangas, spotted at hawthorn having breakfast, in Lygon street talking to Bloos officials. There is evidently interest from GWS, rumours about Sydney, Hird thinks he should go to Gold Coast, Essendon made an offer that was reported to have been turned down.

Just waiting for the Adelaide and Perth clubs to enter the rumour mill, along with Collingwood

All if it may well be true but to me it comes down to only one question which is whether Dusty wants to stay at Tigerland or go to the highest bidder. If he wants to stay he is going to get very handsomely rewarded and will become a 300 game tiger legend.

My money is still on him staying and all Carr is doing is maximising the deal. If that is the case then announcing it pre finals would be a massive boost to a club already on the up.

Get it done guys. Be a legend Dusty, you have a chance to be talked about in the same sentence as Dyer, Bartlett, Hart, Bourke etc.
 
Not even sure if it is about Carr maximising the deal Sin. I think now it's more so about him maximising his own exposure!
 
with all the rumours of clubs being linked etc. importantly one Club NOT linked is Collingwood & they are linked with anything that moves.
after all he's best mates with Swan & Pies officials would have asked him to scope him out at some point i'd imagine. he also has mates at St Kilda & they are not linked either.
I take this as a good sign.

he was heavily linked to the saints earlier Jones. They have since ruled him out

Pretty sure Swan said that if he was Dusty he'd stay at Richmond.
 
Carr seen talking to Melbourne Storm officials. Apparently Martin keen to be the first AFL to League crossover player as it gives him the chance to play a game in NZ every year saving him the price of a plane ticket.
