Evidently he 3 other Tigers were not allowed to do a footy clinic at Syndal north primary this week becaie they didn't have working with children checks !!

There will be a lot of disappointed kids

$88...

I thought he was our best against the Scrays. (I'm probably in very small minority.) His disposal just went off a little bit over the course of the game. But I still thought he was inspired at crucial times. And his form's on the way up again, I reckon.

I'd much prefer he get a Working with Umpires check.

If my principal had banned Dusty, I reckon she would have been nerf assassinated.

Anyone hear Gerard Healy banging on about it tonight? Geez the AFL industry is in its own little bubble. I actually think it's gross incompetence from the club to send players out without them. The AFL insist on them for all parents manning the bbq at their local under 12's

Why gross incompetence? It's not currently mandatory.

Apparwntly his free for/ frees against ratio is one of the worst in the league. Umpires hate him. Maybe he needs a private school type haircut or something.

I reckon. Funnily enough, my 18 yo son has experimented with a Dusty haircut on the footy field.

its a controlled experiment. He changes nothing but his haircut.

He swears, when he's sporting a Dusty clone haircut (it pretty identical), he gets abused by opposition players and supporters and blokes want to fight him. :don't know

he hasnt drawn any umpire conclusions that I know of.

yeah, umps hate dusty.

Nah, they don't. I bet they like him. Never seen him hassle an umpire, just goes about his business no matter what the call.

Some umps might get their jollies from playing policeman to a player that looks very mean, but his brownlow votes suggest they don't hate him at all

I don't know they hate him, but they do look for his don't argue and when it fails and the ball spills they are pretty quick to ping him every time where other players may get away with it sometimes.

So true. Doesn't get the leeway afforded to others.

I thought he was our best against Doggies - he gets marked hard because his best is so good.

I agree with that.

But like other said, they take a real joy in penalising one of Dustys' unsuccessful dont argues, even if he gets rid of it legitimately.

But, yeah, live by the sword, die by the sword.

It's because this is the most clear-cut holding the ball decision in the book. Trying to fend off=prior opportunity.

I honestly reckon they're pretty lenient with dusty. It's just that when he gets caught, it's because he's just fended off three players, and been brought down by four more.

I love the way he just DGAF this year. Brush em off and get it forward.

Lenient in what way? I can't say I've seen them too lenient on Dusty.

No they don't hate Dusty, they hate Richmond.

In the first few rounds he got a few frees for in the fwd line one-on-one for not much. They were there and due to his opponent panicking, I was shocked and thought the worm has turned and the umps were buying into the hype.

As for the frees against, as others have said, its usually because he's broken the first, and maybe second tackle before being caught. so its ball every time. I'm fine with that.
