Dustin Martin

Extraordinary effort on the wing leading to the Reiwoldt goal. But then he was taken off with only 4 minutes to go - rather odd.

Again, clearly not fit. Our most penetrating kick struggling to make the distance from 50m suddenly after a groin injury is a tell tale sign.

A good team with depth would've rested him for a few weeks. We've played him off back to back 6 day breaks because there's no depth.

He tries to spot someone up, he shouldn't. As i said he should just bomb it like everyone else. Getting all ants in your pants about a bloke who just pulled a team high 15cp and 7 clearances. Get a grip mate. He ain't the issue, if he had quality support the minor issues would iron themselves out.

Cotchy struggled to go 50% last week yet gets lauded for his effort. I guess the axes have to get grinded on some poor sob right?

Sorry thats BS. Cotch was pretty much the only mid to put up a fight last week. If you don't expect more from one of our best players (who wants over $1m a year) than some of his disposal tonight then we will never go anywhere near to winning a GF ever again.

His disposal tonight was poor and broke down some good attacking positions. I love his contested work and I'm not bagging that about him. He did his contested work very well, but both of the times I mentioned they were uncontested and he went for either the wrong option or executed them poorly. They weren't the only ones, but Dusty was not good enough from a disposal perspective today. You can disagree if you like but he had 7 clangers from tonight (and that wouldn't include the Elton one I mentioned).

Is he really worth a million dollars? I don't think so.
Bontempelli was the one worth the money tonight.

Bont is worth a million dollars and more. Dustys game was very poor. Disposal into the 50 was shanked more often than not.

As strong as dusty is, its amazing how often he gets caught when he looks for the tackler rather than going with an easier option.

I have never seen bont get tackled properly, and seems to get the handball away every time. Amazing how composed and clean he is.

Poor game. Was a bit selfish and his kicking was off. Wish he hasn't called for that dish off from Soldo on 50. I've seen Soldo kick them from there

Speed of use was much improved in the first half then went back to overcooking it.

Pressure was much improved although he seemed to tire.

Ball use was better but again went off over the course of the game.

I thought it was a much improved effort and crucially - evidence that he's being coached. Better discipline.

I feel that dusty is being targetted by umps for holding the ball. Doesn't seem to get the opportunities to dispose of the ball in a timeframe or way others do. I reckon he played great, dug out a lot of very hard tough tough possessions in a highly pressured match.

I thought the other way, not selfish enough. Maybe 2 or 3 times he could have unloaded for goal and looked for the shorter pass instead. Just go for them son, that's what you're paid to do.

The fact that he didn't nail any long kicks suggests that he is playing injured. He would normally nail those long bombs but didn't last night or last few weeks either. Rest him and get his groin right.

Playing players injured to win games we lose, then losing the games we should win if we had only rested our injured - great forward visionary planning.

I'm struggling with the logic ? :headscratch

This is a bit like the cousins , neighbours old room mate, however was told a couple weeks back 2nd hand from a very close to Dusty source that he will be staying. Take it any way you want but the source is extremely close.

Most in the media think he will stay as well which is a bit of a change when a gun says they want to hold off talks.

The desperate play on the wing to beat two, deep in the last was the stuff of champions. He's getting there.

And the one where he was penalised for holding the ball when he wasn't tackled and the ball was knocked our of his hands and he got so pissed he smothered the next handball and delivered inside 50 for a goal. More effective when he is angry.
