Jarman Impey, hoping he'll be available at our 2nd rounder. Was impressive in the champs
Have seen bugger all juniors this year but after watching one of the VC games I was very impressed with this kid just for his foot skills.
Doesn't get mentioned too much so for a small its hard to get a read on where he might go,but agree hope we have our eye on him.

Maybe, it will be interesting to see where he is taken and by whom.

How is Shane Nelson travelling these days btw?

Averaging 26 touches, 3 marks, 2 tackles.

I would rookie him in a second. Wanted to take Mark Hutchings last year as well. WAFL form translates.

Our second rounder, in a flash. I don't think he'll be there at the point.

Might not be at the first.

Doubt other teams would be interested. It's probably best to start a conspiracy and let the media know Dayle's gone on the bend again. ;D

Yes, Hutchings and Dwyer were my two preferred state league onballers, I really hope next year we start to take state leagues seriously.

On the topic of Nelson, I'm still baffled as to why he was invited to the draft camp yet was completely ignored in the rookie draft. Something just doesn't add up.

That's 3 seasons now of consistent performance from Nelson. You do have to wonder why he hasn't been given an opportunity somewhere.

Impressive stats. Gotta feel sorry for him. He must be wondering what footy has against him to not be given a go. Hopefully this year is his year. We should have picked him up in place of Lonergan last year.

i don't feel sorry for him. i read an interview where he indicated not being drafted was the kick up the backside he needed to change his ways. by all reports he's done that now so would probably be more likely to be given a chance now. i hope he's drafted and goes on to have a successful career.

Are we talking Garlett or Nelson?

sorry i haven't read this thread much and assumed scoop was referring to garlett.

Fair enough, Garlett's WAFL coach even said as much, let's just hope he has taken his medicine. I'm with Scoop on this one and would love to see him in Tiger colours, the problem is he isn't a trademark FJ pick, and I can't see him suddenly changing his approach to first rounders.

I'm talking about Shane Nelson.

Had an impressive U/18's and didn't get drafted, he's been working hard in the WAFL for a couple of years and been impressive there also but still hasn't gotten pick up.

What the hell's with Garlett's head space? Article in today's Hun that Port have scrubbed him as a potential pick. Apparently Port arranged a meeting, head coach, recruiters, head psych n whatever else needed to interview then Garlett does a no show, pulled a sickie.
Any of the W.A. watchers heard anything?

Could be a game of bluff to stay in WA, Freo and the Coasters would be keen if he's cleaned up his act.

Really? Staggering if true. Silly boy.

Unless he has a promise from Freo or the Eagles.
