Been the biggest riser IMHO an as silly as it sounds , even thou his made his mark as FB I wonder if he could actually make our 2nd tall forward , other then Jack the rest have given us Jack

He was originally recruited as a forward as far i I know. He could definitely play both back and forward.

I dunno about seeing him play again this year though. Unless he is 100% right with the knee and also match fit.

I'm glad his got the attitude of wanting to get back out there, however unless it's going to be for about 6 weeks I wouldn't bother and get him 100% for the pre season

He just didn't have "it" as a forward so was fortunate that he could lock down a defensive post.

Hopes to play again this year Phanto
That was what the article said. I hope they don't, though. He needs to put in a full pre season and come into 2015 ready to make every post a winner. They'll probably risk him to get a win against GWS or St Kilda the second time, though.

Trouble is Dave also said "the Richmond fans are incredible, they have faith in the coaching and administration as we do". If the playing again comment is as accurate and the supporters faith in the coaching staff, Zippa may be right it could be 2016!

That's just company line, he's probably required to say that. He clearly isn't reading PRE.

May play again this season ... ?

Best news I've heard for many weeks.

Hopefully no structural risk there.

Reading from the cue cards

They say he's actually running already, on grass not the anti gravity treadmill. Supposedly well ahead of his initial rehab plans. Should be back playing before seasons end if things continue to progress.

Richo said on the Tigers podcast that he definitely wants to come back this year and has worked really hard on upper body strength while he has been out.

Just started straight line running on grass.

Hope not. After such a serious injury, can't see the point in risking further injury just for a couple of games in a season shot to ribbons. Would have thought better to wait until next year, but I am no doctor or RFC selector!!

Get him through a full preseason and don't worry about playing him in these pointless last games.
Best / improved this year by a mile before Grigg destroyed him..
