David Astbury, Thank You

Astbury showed in his first year that he could hold down CHB - he had the skills and poise and the club then gave him the mighty 12 to carry on his back. After 2 years of injury he is now back injury free playing to the level that he orginally showed. We shouldn't be surprised. I am pleased to see him stringing some games together.

I think his improved form makes Chaplin almost surplus (or the one to make way for Rance to come in). Good to see how our home grown talent should make the recycled player become the depth players.

Which makes you wonder why we bother.

Dave is going ok but Dimma hit the nail on the head he must work on his offense. When a switch goes to him he is reluctant to be proactive rather he goes back to take his kick which granted is not wasted but it gives them time. Dave take on the game you might be surprised.

Took Rance a couple of years to kick his offensive side into gear. Might find it takes a bit of time for Astbury as well. He needs a year injury free to consolidate.

Pansted Hawkins not that you'd know it listening to the commentators…they're too busy jazzing over Selwood looking tough with a bit of blood of his forehead.

P.S - Selwood's an absolute gem but the way they were going on about him in the last was cringeworthy

Excellent game yet again a real revelation this year taking on and beating the gorilla forwards :clap

Brilliant effort by Astbury. We'll done and keep up the great effort. It's a crying shame players like Chaplin currently have a longer contract and get paid more than you.

Great game by Dave.

Growing game by game and would have to be in the top running in the B&F for sure as others have said.

Has confidence in his body, getting continuity and hope he continues on that form. He would have been rapt to have Rance back too.
