Huge game for Astbury. His biggest challenge yet. Hope he got a good night's sleep. I wish him well as this could be something of a turning point in his career if he can claim Cloke's scalp.

Seriously nervous about this matchup. Dave is no where near strong enough, so this will go one of two ways. Dave beats Cloke with smarts, or we see another Rocca VS Dawson.
 
David might surprise a few on here and have a really good game. I'm backing him in he is a good junior key backman.

I like your style st.kev. Cloke is a buffoon. Albeit one who takes an incredible contested mark, when his tail is up.

Not many are. But he is clearly our best out of available options.
Geelong had Lonegan and one other (Kelly) effectively smothering him.
If we are to win, Cloke must be kept under tight hold, and Dave is going to need third man in at pretty much every contest they can get to.

the artful dodger only has jesse white to hold. he'll be able to give dave a chop out while Jesse does his fast eddie impersonation way up on a wing.

Yep, surely Chaplin takes Cloke to leave Astbury for White. The only thing that'd stop Cloke from annihilating DA is the rain.

Yup

This should tell him what he is capable of doing week in week out. No doubt helped by the conditions but when you compare Cloke's game with the other superstar forward in the game Cloke got smashed.
