David Astbury, Thank You

Astbury is a keeper IMO. He has the ability to play backline and forward so that makes him a useful utility. All he needs is to stay of the injury pills a while so that he gets a run in the 1sts then his confidence will be back

agree toolzips can't see how he will turn it around.. But always remember Hansen ( one of my favourites) had a ripper year, so if he can Ashbury Can too

Been a while since that debut season now I think he kicked a few in his first game?

It'd be nice if DA would be our version of Hawthorns Gunston, doubt that's going to happen though.
 
Be surprised if he got cut...he got a gig in front of all the guys that got 1 year deals..... Like to see him get a injury free per season an get a real crack at it....don't think he will ever be a star at either end, however he jus may make a good solid swingman of 150 odd games

In my opinion, Astbury can best hope for a solid VFL career at RFC.
Just don't think he is up to AFL standard, unless injuries cruel a number of players before him.

Don't worry about the number on his back, the lack of speed is the biggest concern.
He makes Ben"leadlegs" holland look like Michael Johnson
 
Poor Dave, labelled this years whipping boy already it seems. He wasn't that bad. If I want riding The Griffin I'd be pumping up the Astbury Express. Come on TJ, get behind your man.
 
Good players stand up and don't stuff up at critical times......imagine if that cost a final.....it's sad but that's what will be remembered
