David Astbury, Thank You

Don't give no one free games, if bachelor is fit he comes straight back in.

on todays performance next weeks wouldn't be a free game - he is a tough player who does the 1 percenters really well.

I thought he did really well and the backline has good structure when he is playing. I thought he was subbed off for team balance as it was starting to rain and the crows subbed off a tall for a short so we did likewise.

He doesn't compare to Post, much much better player

I was really pleased with his game today.

Was only subbed off because McKernan was.

Was accurate, cometant on the ground or in the air, and intercepted well which is a different skill.

Given he was just back to the 1sts, and just back from injury, was exceptional.

He is such an all-round player. Significant height. Reads the play, good kick, good leap, good mark.

Just competent

More please!

Thought he struggled n looked slow in the first half, mentioned at half time that he needed to find something or he might struggle for future opportunities.
Clunked a couple n intercepted nicely n I thought to myself " hello that's more like it " n then he got subbed.
Young fella has some work to do, but at least he's fringing for a look.

Thought Aaron Edwards should have been subbed before Astbury.

He'll be better for the run!

Underwhelming, but deserves a decent run at it by getting 3 or 4 games on the trot.

Was ok, not awful and as his first game back for a while that's good enough.

This. We must be mindful that he has been out for a long time. I personally thought he did enough, would love to see him get a good run at it.

I think he was subbed out because he was hurting after that clash with Morris. If Batch pulls up fit from the injury yesterday (does he not like the MCG on wet days? Last time he pulled out of the Hawthorn game after slipping on a tram track, this time it was a gutter outside Punt Rd) he'll take Astbury's spot next week.

nice hit out to ease back into afl, jenkins showed him up for pace but hes smart and keeps his feet. lets hope he stays injury free coz we'll need him

Need him for what? Is Ben Holland coming back??
He did his knee cap 2 years ago and looks like any leg speed he had went that day too.
There is no "Good" Key defender that hasn't got some pace in the league.
How do you improve pace? You can't?
