David Astbury, Thank You

Astbury athletic features are similar to Post in a lot of ways. Except Dave has a quick and smart football brain. He can make decisions with the ball quickly, unlike Post, and positions himself better as well.

Could we transplant Astbury's brain into Post's body?

Can we pick a posi for astbury, and for that matter griff (fwd) and post and leave them there longish term ...

could turn out to be a great player - gee some are very quick to judge.

Exactly. I have very high hopes still. He is a very smart composed footballer for mine.

Gee i have een watching footy 40 years and i cannot see it for the life of me. Do not get the love. Schulz always showed more talent than this bloke ever has. All he has to do is chase to get a rap on here!

I watched him intently today. Shows zero intensity, doesn't demand the ball, goes half paced and generally looks disinterested.

Very disappointed with what I saw today

66 I think you are exactly right. Useless today. Miller would have done more than Astbury. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED with his effort.

Wasn't he put in after the season was shot? He's not fit and out of sorts. Clearly being gifted a few late games with no coburg available and limited game time this year. These games/form are purely miles on the clock.

Is he fit though?

I saw him last week and thought he looked well underdone.

Found it hard to make any sort of assessment against the Bombers.
Beat me to it.
