i laugh when i read this rubbish....NOUS?? please give us something more than nous, like skills, taking a mark, picking up the ball without fumbling,

we will wait and see - some people on here even question Cotchin when he first started playing for us.

Wasn't that enthusiastic about Astbury even in 2010 when the club was pushing his case for a Rising Star nom. Has now managed 7 games in two years (not his fault) and will be 22 in Feb. But there was a moment in the Port game when he was chasing the ball in the forward pocket, stooping to pick it up, when he was the absolute spitting image of Nick Riewoldt, right down to the number 12 on his back. The resemblance was uncanny.

Blonde hair?

Are you sure it wasn't Ellis - I reckon he looks a bit like Nick Riewoldt - not Astbury

I don't see Dave been a lock in any position, thou I do see him been a handy swing man.....think his best chance to start 2013 is to play Millers role....unsure if Dave will be a good 200 gamer or a handy in out player over the next 2 years

David Astbury has signed a two-year contract extension with Richmond.

Dave could be a massive inclusion if he stay's fit.Possibly holding down a key position at either end of the ground.Hope he has a solid pre-season.

Best of luck Dave! :clap

Good news. We should give him one of our Golden Numbers to show we have faith in him, but it might be a bit early for that.

Good to see we are going to continue developing him.

2013 should be a good year for him if he can stay injury free.

You can't get a much better number then number 12 given it's history can you?

Happy with this he is a very smart footballer. I really hope he has some luck on the injury front.

Might be a mirage, but I liked reading this anyway.

Can only assume he is training well and regaining some pace. Him coming on can only be a good thing.

Going a bit early aren't we? 2 years?
He was running around the last couple of games like he was Ben holland
Should've just waited to see what he did next year before giving him an extension.

Hmmm, Ben Holland or Nick Riewoldt, tough choice.
