Played well

Issue for Dave is his leg speed. Pretty much has the rest covered. ie smarts skills good hands good composure and enough size/grunt.
 
Apparently copped a heavy knock to the eye socket area yesterday in the 99 point loss and has a suspected fracture of the cheekbone. :(

Bad luck for him.

Just when we need to swing changes to our talls, another player is struggling to get up.
 
I too think should be moved back to the fwd line & leave Griff in the backline.
Smart player and should be our lead up target at HF

Really bad news. We can't catch a break. Besides bone breaks.
 
That's good news that he is ok. I still have very high hopes for Astbury, so him getting as much game time as he can now is pretty important to build a base for next year.

I wouldn't be giving Griffiths or Astbury away just yet. They're still very young and Griffiths this year has shown something. One of them must become a forward though.
 
yes - and Astbury has already demonstrated in his first year that he is capable of holding down CHB - just need to get his body right - still has time on his side in my book.

mmmmmmmmm....interesting....no way would grimes be traded...or rance...
 
Reckon there will be some disappointed people when Astbury resurfaces. Was struggling big time before his injury.

Seems to be in the category that he gets better the less he plays.
