David Astbury, Thank You

Provided he's fit, I'd start the season with Astbury instead of Chaplin, and give him the opportunity to cement a spot. Better long term option.

Definitely. Chaplin is done!!!
Should be given first crack at CHB rd 1 next year.
If were to improve its time Dave stood up. We need him to become our rock CHB long term.

Had the chance to be the Man, but blew it with greed.
Could potentially be his last next year.

I would prefer to see what Elton has got rather than Astbury.

A fit Dave surely replaces Batch in our defence at the start of 2016.

The only concern is speed but with Rance there he just needs to play on the quickest opposition fwd.

There sure wasn't a lot to get excited about ... mediocre performance who should be tearing the walls down to establish himself as a fixture in the team ... maybe he's not up to it ... maybe injuries have already cruelled him.

Is slow , never moves the ball on with any urgency and kicks floaters that makes Grigger's disposal look elite . showed today he is not up to it .

I think Dave has shown more than Todd so far.
If Dave can get his fitness back then he should have first crack at our 3rd tall.
Dave is supposed to have had a full pre-season and is fit. Today's example didn't show it. For all his potential I fear his injuries have taken their toll on his confidence.

Hopefully just a first up flop of a match. We seriously need him to step up this year , but going from yesterday we might be looking elsewhere. Perhaps he gets another crack with a full strength side and rance and grimes in support. Otherwise we are back to Chaplin for another season. Yippee.
