David Astbury, Thank You

Not happy about losing a key defender like Dave because if Chappy or Rance goes down the only tall we have as a replacement would be Elton and he is a long way off. Dave is down on confidence and needs s gee up to get back to form. Then again if Dave does move then maybe Dimma could retread Griff as a defender because he is not cracking it as a forward.
Big concern. Chaplin on the decline FAST. Backup is a 2 gAmer.
We have not enough key def depth at all.
Need to go for Tomlinson now I think!

Lots of talk about how he lead the B&F after 9 rounds last year. Good on him but we had only won 2 games.

Some chatter about that Astbury and our second rounder for Brisbane's pick 17. I like it, but don't like so much using it for Yaz.

The bit I don't get with the reporetd deals is if 21 gets the deal done with Carlton why give up pick 31 just to help Carlton out

That would make it Pick 31 and Astbury for Yarran. Probably about right.

far from over the line, but good for us. And if DA is solid for Brisbane, good for them too.

Pretty sure blues want a first rounder and we recently said he was worth a late first rounder.

Yep, when you say it like that! Sounds better than #17 for yarren

I reckon Carlton would accept pick 21 for Yarran, a player who has only finished once in the top 10 in their b&f.

Would prefer to trade Astbury for 21 then trade that for Yarran.

Keep 12 & 31.

If we got pick 17 from Brisbane, gee I wouldn't mind keeping it and having two first round picks for a change. No short term gains but would only continue to add to our much-needed depth in the medium-long term.

or offer 12 & 17 to GWS for traloar.......which could land him @ RFC or makes Collingwood pay overs...win win

When yarran kicks three against his old side, it will be magical

Dream start would be to see Lambert and Yarran combine to score the first goal of the match

Hampson palms it down to Grigg, who handballs it off to Lambert who finds Yarran inside 50, duly slotting the goal.

Can we get Andy Collins back as a runner?

maybe we should give Mckenzie a run as well.

Astbury is a good player and a great fit at Lions.

Positive about Dave going is that it frees up no 12 for Beanie Townsend.
