Damien Hardwick

Jack, Chimp, Edwards and Lambo will have to be tapped on the shoulder the same way Bash got.
Can’t lose them all in one hit. As others have said get Hardwick some quality assistants. Groom one of them to take over from him. What happened to the Hawks is now happening to us. I take a great deal of solace in the 3 flags and the added bonus of our success triggering nearly every supporter of other clubs in the league.

This. He needs to make a tough decision. Is he cooked after 3 flags? Game plan or system as he keeps saying simply is old and useless. Lot of changes to be made as we need a real ruckman to take over from Nank. Just can't see Soldo being it, a real midfield and real KPF.
I still don’t think he wants to address the obvious problem. We play an undersized first ruck who competes hard but doesn’t give us first use at centre bounces and no gun contested ball midfielders apart from Prestia.

To not even lock down at centre bounce or stoppage by playing one on one, shoulder to shoulder is just madness - that happened all of the first half & again late. He said as much in his post match about the winning goal Nth scored. To fix this properly needs different players but equally importantly a change in coaching philosophy. Hardwick is still fixated on winning turnover. Game has changed Damien!!

Yes we can. We have other late 20s/30yo that can still run fast. These 4 are cooked with speed and ability.

That's the worrying sign. I wanted Dimma to finish at the club in a respectable way, but now he's torturing himself if he continues to be stubborn.

Don't know what to make of his 4 min presser. Stated a bit more internal stuff than last week, but still sounds like he just goes through the motions telling the players what to do without any real emotion that we saw in 2017 - 2020 years. I reckon he and some players are done.

Bucks would be my pick, he'd be so hungry to win a flag.
I dont like it when posters respond to my posts with rude posts, so wont do that to you Wayne.

But if there's anything that the current progress of the Collingwood FC confirms for me about Bucks, IMO it is that he aint a good coach.
McRae is doing a fantastic job, with Leppa and others of course, of pretty much the same list Bucks had. Yes, there's a great new player in Daicos but he isnt the difference. They have a great game plan, belief, development and structure on the ground.

Bucks had years with them. Sure he made one GF, but each year they got worse under his reign.

For those older than me, how did Tommy do it from 1966-69 teams to 1972-75 teams?
1967 Hafey coached the Tiges to their first flag since 1944.No player in the side had any finals experience. We beat Geelong .

1968 we missed out in the last round when Geelong did the dirty on on us and let St Kilda beat them. The following week they beat St Kilda by ten goals.

1969 we finished fourth beat Geelong in the first semi by 20 goals and won the flag.

1970 and 71 no finals.

1972 Hot favourites against Carlton and lost the Grand final by 25 points, even though we kicked 22 goals.

1973 and 74 simply the best team and won 2 flags.

1975. Ran out of puff with injuries and lost to north in the prelim.

Next dynastty came 1980 under Tony Jewell.

Some could say there are parallels with Hardwick and Hafey as we missed finals last year and most likely this year as being breather years for more success.Only time will tell.

Thanks gold. Hopefully the 1970 & 1971 are last year and this year.

I am partial to the idea

That Damien Hardwick is not in great form

But he has no midfield or ruck division to work with save Dion

None.
