MC are having a mare.
Whoever decided to put Gibcus in the ruck needs the sack.
Whoever keeps on thinking Balta is a forward needs the sack.
Whoever thought Ryan wasn’t worthy of playing second ruck / forward instead of the above mentioned two needs the sack.
Whoever thought Aarts was a worthy medical sub needs the sack.
And the person/s who thought we didn’t need Baker in the midfield needs the sack.

But even more reason to try & manufacture something though.
For a start, I’d play Ryan and have him take centre bounces & then immediately rotate with Nank to play round the ground. We simply have to consistently try a taller ruck at centre bounces.
The Geelong game stands out as it was ultimately lost on the one clearance where Nank was beaten by a clean hit out to advantage.
Our centre square midfielders - try a different mix with Prestia. Even Ross was doing better before injury.

the misuse of Gibcus is very confusing - draft the best key defender, play him against the bigger experienced bodies of the league -
then put him forward and in the ruck ... WTF ?

They are all over the place with Baker and Balta and Gibcus. We have gone from excess small forwards to zilch.
A player that is very capable through the middle and forward and could be used more to help when needed is Vlaustin
Obviously his job is safe. But You’ve gotta start asking some questions if we miss finals this year.
However recruiters haven’t done him any favours. Rcd Dow, Higgins, CCJ all bad misses that will set us back years

Use by date fast approaching. I don’t want him overseeing our next rebuild. Time for a new voice and ideas.
Absolutely, we have been in position to win so many of the games we have lost. This started in Round 1 FFS. Sure, we may not have won all of the games we should have, but win a few of them and we're in the top 4.
Yet, we now sit here contemplating a loss to by far and away the worst team going around.
We cannot afford to screw up games like this.

Between 2017 to 2020 was a good to great coach surrounded by some excellent assistants. 2021 /22 he has been rubbish and I'm looking at the calendar and it is 2022. So at the moment he is rubbish. Love my club but I'm just stating facts!
No excuses for today - coaches and players - all responsible & culpable.
Plus it’s our same weaknesses over & over that cause the losses. Yet nothing changes. Ironic that the Aarts calamity capped it all off.
