Absolutely, we have been in position to win so many of the games we have lost. This started in Round 1 FFS. Sure, we may not have won all of the games we should have, but win a few of them and we're in the top 4.

Yet, we now sit here contemplating a loss to by far and away the worst team going around.

We cannot afford to screw up games like this.

DS
But the question DavidS is deep down you knew we weren't going to win.
We have moved back to the 2012 Tigers.
The no leadership, the hack older players, the coach getting out coached.
The era is over and you can say it's been over since that fateful night when we leading by 21pts with 8 mins to go and we lost.
Good teams don't lose by 20pts up at the 7min mark of the last qtr.
Good teams don't let stkilda kick the next 7 straight goals.
Good teams don't fight back from 30+ points (twice) only to cough up the lead again.
We need a rejig at years end.
We need to let players leave and we need new players

right, so the default setting is its *smile*. stopped clock is right twice a day in other words. Logically speaking that is.

sack Dimma? people have lost their minds. Gone full retro GR. Unleash the Giesch. lets swap Swooper for Walls.
I wouldn't get rid of him but he and the team are currently making a lot of infuriating mistakes.

The fact of the matter is our midfield is just not good enough.

Dimma may need to ease up on the choof and face reality
As many of us have been saying for a long time George FAarts and Edwards are a liability will lose us games and don’t earn their spot in the team
We now have seen that we are losing games due the insistence of Dimma MC to continue picking them
Enough George FAarts and Edwards should never play another game

Circumstances mean there is a lot more scope for mistakes. I actually think the opposite, I think were doing better this season than we otherwise might have.

If the ladder was based on expected score (humour me), we'd be second. So in fact, we're doing a lot worse than what we should be. Having said that, given where the list is at (top end talent ageing, middle tier talent largely stagnating, fringe / young guys either unproven or not up to it) next year will undoubtedly see a further decline.

I understand that analysis, but its not a fact/ What might have happened can never be fact. and yes.

Riewoldt was the worst for accuracy Cumbo pretty bad too but Aarts should've had a set shot but he lacks awareness and skills. Anyhow hopefully selectors use Edwards as sub and play someone else. Brown?

All of his assistants bar Kingsley should be on notice.
Spot on, and this is what needs to happen. Start raiding other clubs off field talent. Groom one of them for the senior role, and handover in a couple of years. The worst thing to do is sack the coach with no real plan. That’s #lolnorf thinking, and Port did it with Primus. We’ve done it countless times, and it never worked.
