I think it is time to be pro active at Tigerland. Yes Dimma is a 3 time premiership coach, but as Tommy Hafey (4 time premiership coach) found out there comes a time.It really should be now given that some finals are still in the mix.A new coach could be in a good position to instill some early final experience with the likes of Cumberland,Miller,Bauer, etc. Also a new coach just might quell the arrogance and entitlement that seems to be pervading the team ATM. For me Clarkson is the obvious choice. He is available now after a break and seems keen to fill his trophy cabinet.Sorry to say but Dimma is done.

I don't think the head coach is the problem. Our stars are aging, we've had a bad run with injuries and due to our draft picks in that time haven't looked like much chop. It's been the crop from last year that despite being 18/19 yo have shown more traits as AFL footballers. No way I'd be giving him the flick, he's got way more credits in the bank.

I also wouldnt get rid of Dimma.
But the coaching team, the development of players, the gameplan needs to be looked at. He needs some support as I dont think all these are his strengths.

Even Benny said that the 2016 review concluded he needed more support with the gameplan, etc. Hence, Caracella, Rutten, Leppa and Mcrae.

We need to find the next gen of younger smarter coaches to support Dimma (b/c X Clarke, McQ and Teague arent the ones).

Everyone has a use by date. Everyone.
Never thought I would say it but he looks rattled, bereft of ideas and the scary thing his players no longer play for him.
Do we putt along for another two years or get proactive?

We've been found out.

Teams are crushing us at centre clearances, and when they get numbers back, our forward line loses all structure.

Dimma is the best coach in the league, but it's crossroads time.

We need to make changes to playing style and personnel. If we can tell that Aarts isn't the answer 2 months ago, then he has no excuses. Edwards has been a passenger for 6 weeks, still selected.

If he's lost the hunger or can't implement the change we need then get someone who can.

Couple of decent assistant coaches going around
Jarrad Schofield
Nigel Lappin
Scott Burns

Either get one of them in to help or to replace Hardwick

Firstly, I don’t believe Clarkson is the answer and secondly I doubt he would coach a club that just knifed one of his mates.

Totally left field suggestion, but IF Dimma was to go would the club entertain the idea of bringing Leppa back as senior coach

Coaching poorly. Can't be denied.

He simply can't wheel out the cliches after that.

The "we'll learn from this" won't cut it.

Cos we're not learning
100%. That was embarrassing - we’re not stupid as members/supporters either. It’s been a wasted season - indictment that we haven’t addressed our shortcomings

This. He needs to make a tough decision. Is he cooked after 3 flags? Game plan or system as he keeps saying simply is old and useless. Lot of changes to be made as we need a real ruckman to take over from Nank. Just can't see Soldo being it, a real midfield and real KPF.

Jack, Chimp, Edwards and Lambo will have to be tapped on the shoulder the same way Bash got.

For those older than me, how did Tommy do it from 1966-69 teams to 1972-75 teams?

Grab
Knighter mid coach
