Damien Hardwick

while i don't agree with all of Dimma's selections I do not doubt his ability as an all round coach

to achieve what he did, 3 premierships, remarkable

as long as he has the appetite to coach, I am happy for him to be at Richmond

I agree his a great coach , but the Cumberland crap was stupid and his been one of our best since coming in the side no brainer.

It is frustrating that the same things continue to happen after he’s repeatedly highlighted them as issues. I think after being plundered by all and sundry his support network needs to be rebuilt. If that means ignoring the soft cap then do it. Bloody thing only exists to help long time strugglers like #lolnorf.

Agree.

This is what happens when there is a side in transition. The man can coach.

That is one of Hardwick’s few failings. He is incredibly stubborn, and it takes a lot to shift his thinking once an idea gets lodged in there.

I’m not sure if Dimmas coaching well or not , you can’t coach for abysmal skills , you also can’t keep doing the same thing game after game in this super analysed game now

Time for McQualter and Clarke to go. Dimma needs better assistants especially midfield.

People going after Hardwick are crazy.
He has given us 3 flags.
That is unbelievable.
Other clubs would sell a ball bag to get just 1.
We have played an extra season because of finals between 17-22.
Our players are physically and mentally exhausted.
We wouldn't have known we were finished 5 weeks in to the season, neither did Hardwick.
People blaming his marriage breakdown to our form line is absolutely crap.
Stick fat

We need to fix the selfish 50m brain fades #1. It's just poison to a team based game. At least Damien mentioned this in the press conference.
He's spent far too long saying its a competitive game and we want our players to walk the line. You walk the line now its a stand rule violation and 50m.

Graham last week and Mansell this week with walk over the mark 50m.
Bolton with the same get frustrated 50m as last year vs Sydney.
Vlaustin with brain snap head high contacts and push in back.

This issue has not been addressed at all and at least Dimma also acknowledged it must frustrate our supporters too. You are damn right it does.

Anyway biggest coaching challenge Dimma has had for a while. All the close losses and self inflicted wounds have led to a lack of confidence and frustration that probably turned into that last quarter.

I wouldn't be surprised if next week is a 10 goal start to end flogging (or worse).

As players are under the microscope so should the coaching group.

Five games in and declaring the players are exhausted - those same highly paid professional athletes, is a bit rich.

And if they are exhausted that’s on the fitness and health group at the club I would have thought.

When great players end their careers and are replaced with ordinary players, is when coaches are exposed.

Hardwick and his coaching group are being exposed and it remains to be seen if they have the coaching skills, vision and intelligence to pursue the transition with success while putting out a committed and competitive team each week.

So far they have failed that test, and the next few weeks will be critical for all concerned at the RFC.

A real test of character.

no one is questioning Dimma's greatness

just his hunger

and also - and this is the tricky bit - the freshness of his vision

So many players who can't kick, who are slow, who make poor decisions, are undisciplined, who can't position themselves at stoppages, win clearances, clunk marks....

How long do you guys want this to go on? When is someone going to be held to account?

Blind Freddy can see doing the same thing expecting a different outcome does not work.

Hear hear.

Well done Zips. The crap on this site in the last 12+ hrs is nothing more than hurt supporters venting (understandably so).

Make no mistake, we're probably going to get smashed next week. The media will say it's a crisis. Cornes will start bagging the recruiting strategy. Gaddy Lyon will tap dance on our graves. David King will point to the stats which show why we're getting beat. Robbo will froth at the mouth about where are the Tigers going.

The leadership of our club isn't planning for success in round 6 2023. The media pile on will come. Our club had a strategy going into 2012 and saw it through. Back them to do it again, until they've proven they can't.

Yes - to pick us - club and players off the never ending canvas to be at the pinnacle for 4 years for 3 flags - doubting he can coach on hear is laughable.

Come on Carn, where is the evidence - the transformation between 2016 and 2017 shows he is a man who will face what’s in front of him and change to get better, personally and game style.

We are a side in deep transition, we will be inconsistent at times but that the price you pay for success - we no longer have a Dusty, Jack, Cotch and Rance in their prime to build around - at least we aren’t doing the rebuild after rebuild with no success.

Because you had a full preseason dosent mean your not exhausted..
Our senior players are all out of form .from Prestia to Grimes. They aren't injured but they're plodding through games.
We need a fresh burst of kids.
We need kids like Wagner, Rachelle, Rankine etc
To give us a spark. Punch the air after kicking a goal.
I'm scared we will change kids like Cumberland.
We are as flat as a tak.
