I felt sorry for Lewis actually. He was clearly out of his depth, looked intimated and was having a shocker. Who goes for 11.3 runs per over?
How Ponting could bowl him for 10 overs is astounding. He just doesn't seem to have that ability to control the flow of a game before it gets out of hand. It's going to take Ricardo a long, long time to shake the "poor Captain" tag.

Mind you Australia were screaming for the experience of McGrath last night.

Knowing the guy ToOtsie I can tell you he wouldn't have been intimidated.
He is the most competitive bloke i've ever played sport with.
Out of his depth unfortunately :(
He did have all his confidence sapped and was gutted that Bracken dropped that Soda that would have dismissed Gibbs.
He was still in resonable humour though,telling me he will now be a trivia night question for who has gone for the most runs in ODI over 10 overs!

Well perhaps intimidated isn't the right word. Rattled maybe. After all I'm sure he's only human.
As I said Strugs I felt for the guy. Ponting should have made the change earlier. Unfortunately for your mate Mick he wasn't up to the task.
At least Lewis can laugh about it now.

Vic win by 6 wickets which I think means they play QLD in Brisbane in the final.QLD would have to start strong favourites.

Hodge made his runs in the 2nd innings. What a shame for him, that cricket has to have a 1st innings.

Maybe for his sake, cricket should dispense with 1st innings and get straight on with the 2nd?

its a joke that he is still playing at all in any form of the game for australia. his fielding last night was atrocious and i wont even get started on his recall to the test team

Damian Martyn don't get me started there are 10 + players inPura Cup that should be in the Aussie one day squad & Test team adhed of him ..
Poor Mick Lewis not good enough sadly but that Stewart Clarke how does he get a game ..very avarage bowler
