Cricket

Just switched to watch the cricket and …

4-100

Marsh & Head in.

What’s gone wrong???

Great bowling or poor batting???

The bowling has been good.

Khawaja got a peach.

Marnus doesn’t look great this series though

Fast bouncy deck, Tubby was right - we can’t judge the state of play till the Pons have batted.

I think Cummins and Starc will eat good.

Marsh steadying the ship. Fair to say a lot of people had doubts on him but that's a very important half century he's knocked.

geez that does not bode well. Major third ump stuff up. amazing.

Stokes should have conceded the extra 2 by the spirit of cricket you'd reckon.
Missed it probably watching the footy post-match. Did we get robbed of 2 runs?

Brilliant bit of marketing. I imagine they'll sell out tomorrow and social media will be flooded with pics of Aussie fans enjoying one in front of the telly.

How can you say Bairstow was innocent or ignorant given he's tried the exact same thing plenty of times himself, including earlier in the same match? And replied 'bloody oath I would' to Head in the first Test when asked if he'd have whipped the bails off when Head had left his crease early (but quickly got back, because he woke up).

I see the Bairstow-Patel and Prior-Morkel stumpings as sneaky. The Carey-Bairstow one was just smart.

As for 'is this what you want to see at your local cricket?' You do see it. There's nothing wrong with it.

'Spirit of cricket' is horseshit.
I disagree. Marnus was batting out of his crease, can you not see the difference?

I'm arguing that is simply a weak spinleless way to cheat a wicket.

Anyway, sick of arguing against so many that enjoy disingenous corrupt cricket, normally the domain of the right that sort of behaviour but plenty of socialists revelling in it. Go figure hey?

Actually its what makes it still in play.
Bairsrow left his his crease with the ball still in play. He took no notice of the fielding team or where the ball was.
If the umpire called over, well he couldnt because the ball was still in play
That's what makes it *smile*. Weak and mean spirited, but almost all on here loved it.

Head a little sketchy
Yer, he's worrying me. Not looking sound against the short stuff, nor Ali. Seems to have lost his confidence. He's got to support Marsh and fight through it and find touch again.

True. Its like the media conundrum over Trump, ignore or report. If a powerful, high profile party makes outrageous statements that ignore facts, historical convention, do you challenge them on it or ignore it?

The echos of Trump are strong, 'I would never do that', 'thats the worst thing thats ever happened', 'worst thing that anyone has ever done', 'this is what i would have done', etc etc.
Na, Trump would have loved the method taken to get the wicket. It's got right wing corruption written all over it.
