I heard Ed Cowan talking about this. He didn’t agree with it (I don’t think anyone does), but he did say that Head has a known weakness against spin. Still a really poor decision. Not playing Head is one of the more bizarre selections I've seen in a long time.
Matt Kuhnemann called in to replace Mitch Swepson.
Harsh but oh so true. You may have to recant Leysy, word of your thoughts gets back to the players n they'll work at discrediting then replacing you as a forum comments man.Ah well it's all ok. Pat and the boys will get a nice tickle and foot rub from the coach.
That's what they wanted after all.
So blokes like Warner, Khawaja Handscomb n Renshaw are career premium bats against spin on the sub continent wickets??but he did say that Head has a known weakness against spin.
I saw his death certificate online a few hours ago, how do the media get these things? Why am I reading Warnie's finances on the internet? Is this allowed?
Who knows. These things should be private.I saw his death certificate online a few hours ago, how do the media get these things?
Yeah, quite weird that it’s taken until now for concreted based synthetic pitches to filter into the English cricket system. Here in Australia it’s been the norm, even in a country where it’s comparatively easier (climatically) to create turf pitches.I have first hand experience of this. Taught here in the U.K. about 20 years ago for a few years and coached the Yr 7 and Yr 8 cricket teams. Out of approximately 13 possible games each, we played two games between them due to conditions. Schools don’t have the dosh for full time groundsmen (apart from £20k per year private schools) and so the slightest bit of rain during the week left pitches unplayable. Really didn’t help the development of individuals.
As you say though, concrete pitches with synthetic surfaces are becoming much more common, both in schools and public parks. I think they’ll reap the rewards of more junior cricket in the near future.
Will we play 3 spinners ?Not sure about Kuhnemann, however he is a left arm bowler which will give us some variation.

Are you gonna post that 3 times ? You have 1 more to go.Will we play 3 spinners
Not sure, I'd rather left armer Agar (a much better batsmen) than Kuhnemann. Will we play 3 spinners ?
No.It’s time for Warner’s painting and decorating mate Bancroft to replace him in the test side.
How did we go last time we played India under our former coach? Or the just time we played on the sub continent?Ah well it's all ok. Pat and the boys will get a nice tickle and foot rub from the coach.
