Not sure I like the way AB sounds here after some recent health issues but he certainly hits the nail on the head with the cricketing matters.
Would have to rank as one the best debuts of all time.
Remember Bing Lee took 5 for not many vs India on Boxing Day and Jason Krejza took 8 for a million in the first innings and 12 for the match in India in 08.
I was there, remember it well, Tendulkar got a magnificent century as well.
I asked before, but we're we seeing anything similar with that plump blond kid 30 years ago?
He got belted early days, had 1 for 300 odd from his first 5 innings.
Then in his third test he won the game against Sri Lanka with 3 for not many at the death, two tests later he took 7 for against the Windies at the G.
and the rest is history. 7 now for Murph. What a rise from kids cricket to Test. Let's hope his fingers can last as long as the great one's did.
