Mcgrath was very unlucky. Was well on the way to pass Symond,s score ;D
We'll never know Skipper
So true MB.Could tell when Mcgath walked out to the crease he had runs written all over his face

Didn't see alot of the play yesterday.Great innings by Hussey. It shows Ponting & Hussey are the keys to our abatting even though Ponting missed out yesterday.Hayden under the pump & Langer & Clarke made reasonable scores.Symonds flashy 26 but had his chance to build an innings but went out to an ordinary ball.McGrath's decision terrible but likely to be more bad decisions with these 2 umpires.Game evenly poised at this stage.Strauss looks to be in good form so we would want to get him out early today.

Longest ever post, mb?

If we win this test, I reckon we could see half this team gone within another 5. Hanging by a thread are:

1. Gilchrist - sorry, but he's gone. Reflexes are shot. Should have gobbled the Collingwood catch. Haddin in.
2. Hayden - not enough runs. Jacques in.
3. Lee - not enough wickets. Tait or Johnson in.
4. Martyn. Already gone.
5. McGrath - not a lot left in the tank. Tait or Johnson or Hilfenhaus in.
6. Langer - Seems only to be making runs when he's under extreme personal pressure. Will hang on foir a bit, but his days are numbered.

1.Gilly will retire after world cup
2.Hayden-agree
3.Lee-disagree despite his wayward bowling I'd stick with him
4.Martyn -gone as u mentioned.
5.McGrath-May play world cup then not sure.Still has 1-2 years being a class bowler.
6.Langer-will possibly last another summer with Hayden almost gone.

Re: Cricket

After the ashes, given we dont play another test match until next Australian summer, you'd think we'll be looking at a very different aussie team this time next year. Something like this wouldnt be totally out of the question:

Jaques
Rogers
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Watson
Paine
Lee
Warne/Cullen
Johnson
Clark

Marsh, Cosgrove, North, Hilfenhaus, White would all be around the mark too.

Wicket!

McGrath got Collingwood....

:clap

50 wickets at the WACA ?! for McGrath.

He never looked comfortable in this innings - Clark continuing to worry them with his movement away from the right handers

Re: Cricket

Strauss looking very comfortable until wild slash.May have been unlucky to be given out.Replay suggests he may not have hit the ball.

Re: Cricket

thats right, SAME OLE AUSSIES -they are still cheating....

im sick of listening to the commentators saying the umpiring is a good, it is a disgrace

sooner they bring in technolgy for all decisions the better

Re: Cricket

Flintoff fails again caught in 1st slip off one of Symond's lollipops. With a long tail Poms will be lucky to make 170.

Re: Cricket

Symonds gets flintoff caught at slip for 13. Eng 5 fa 107 Not bad MB  ;) Aussies have really dried their runs up a bit now bit like they done to us yesterday causing pressure on the batsman but Flintoff played a bit like Collingwood - bit hit and miss today.

Re: Cricket

Jones failsd again in what will probably his last test for some time.Pietersen the only batsman to stop them being demolished for under 150.

Re: Cricket

Symonds gets Jones and his second - his got 2 fa 8 and the poms are 6 fa 114 and in trouble. Symonds really bowling well this session for the aussies.

Re: Cricket

Symons getting a couple of wickets will help him keep Watson out of the 4th test.Mamood in now ,never seen him bat.

Maybe MB - needs to do a bit more with the bat though-it was only one over(his last at the crease) that got him the majority of those runs yesterday.
