Re: Cricket

That's what annoys me about this decision. There are better younger, batsmen than Simmo out there not getting look in to this aging Aussie line-up.
In light of Watson's injury before the series started we have shown we can beat England without an allrounder, so why revert to a tried and tested failure??

Re: Cricket

As an ex captain and selector at my local club I always argued "if your 4 best bowlers can't do the job then what makes you think your 5th best can"?

I would have like to see Cameron White in - form batsmen of Australia.
Once he starts spinning the ball he would be an excellent choice.

I'm all for promoting a Vic to the team but it seems people are getting too excited with Cam White. I saw the weekends game against NSW and he was very lucky as he was dropped on a sitter from Krezja when he was on 4 and was dropped later on but that was a much harder chance. The attack was 3rd rate as well. After Bracken they wasn't anything to write home about (Bird, Krezja, Coyte and someone else who I've forgotten)

Wouldn't even worry about his bowling. Just pick him for his batting - in best form of any Aussie outside of Ponting and Hussey. Note though his bowling record is quite good this year.

He might be a chance once the selectors realise again Symonds is not up to test cricket.

Re: Cricket

Whats wrong with a guy like Marsh getting a gig? Travis Birt? Marcus North?

Shame Cosgrove is off the rails again, he really should be pushing his way into the team if he was fair dinkum

Giles & Anderson:Out
Giles might as well pack his bags & go home.Panasar would have to have a disasterous test for Giles to be re-considered.

Symonds Test batting average is 19 & bowling average is 45. :confused

definately lucky to be there.

Brett Lee test batting average is 22 & bowling average is 31 is really our all rounder these days.
