I was half listening on the radio yesterday when they were discussing how the salary negotiations take into account how many days are actually played but didn't really take in the details. It seems a situation open for abuse if a captain considers player salaries in match decisions. Not that I'm alluding to it in this situation.

Poms 2-36 after Bell out for a duck.I sure hope the Poms v=can regain some form otherwise it will be an oridnary series.

Thought the aussies could of started the innings in a more attacking fashion rather than just having two slips and McGrath not being given the new ball was baffling to me as well. They were bloody 640+ runs in front - mind boggling in my opinion. Poms now 3 fa 169.

Need 5 more wickets for the win. The tail wont wag and Warney may end up with 6 or 7 wickets. Haha funny today when Warney pegged the ball back in Peitersons direction and he hit it straight back away from him.

Could be an interesting day of cricket. With rain predicted ill hav me eyes glued to me 3 mobile at school

yeah good to see the poms give a yelp.  They are slow starters normally so maybe they'll get some confidence for the rest of the series.  Anderson out Plunkett in for them, Giles out Monty in.  Giles shouldn't even be called a spinner, should just be called 'right arm slow'  my dad turns it more, not joking.

As a Brisbane resident I was embarrassed by the overzelous policing.  The cops were throwing people out for barracking too loud, unbelievable.  Seems Osama Bin Laden has killed fun.

For Ponting's sake he should pray there will be no rain.If so this silly decision not to enforce outright will come back to haunt him.
