As for the “lack of outrage,” where the hell have you been hiding?? You must be reading in different social media circles then me. Anti-vaxxers are everywhere posting their selfish, overproportionate outrage. Try ABC news on Facebook. They have to turn off comments for literally every vaccine related post.

Maybe that’s the thing, l am not on social media much at all. Facebook only and l make a point of mainly following things/groups l like. I find majority of discussion on social media quite toxic to be honest. It’s not a good way to communicate.

I have been listening to the press conferences lately though and haven’t heard any push back at all regarding vaccine certificates.

I guess that at an overarching level l don’t like the creation of a two tier society, if you don’t have an issue with it you will clearly see things differently.

The difference is Oldie that the taxes paid to governments on grog and smokes are enormous and contribute to the funding of the health system. 30 years ago a packet of durries cost $2; I haven't smoked for 20 years but I believe the price is close to $50 a pack. The vast majority of that increase is due to tax hikes.

For the life of me I don't know why people don't want to get vaccinated but at some point it's got to come down to personal choice about your own health.

which corroborates my point in my last post on the previous page. If unvaccinated people are locked out of everywhere and become pariahs, they will feel pressured to get vaccinated. And this will push the percentages up. this can only be a good thing.

If NSW opens up at 70%, COVID rips, it spreads to all of the others states, causing hundreds of thousands of cases and thousands of deaths… Gladys should be put on trial for treason.

Bloke in my building is a mad anti-covid vaxxer. Got to the point people avoided him because it's all he wanted to talk about. He was also a fitness freak and the main user of the building's gym.

They've reopened the gym after 6 months of closure about a week ago. Big sign say "Vaccinated residents only". Saw him coming out of the gym this morning and he saw my quizzical look. He whipped out his phone to show he's had his first jab then walked away muttering something about it all being *smile*.

Made my day.

and that will be true for many. there will be people who are happy to argue with and try to bully any businesses trying to keep them out. there will be others who are willing to forge documents, or break the law and sneak in.
but many people wont. they will get vaccinated or stay home.

Down to about 5K now which is still very high, but might indicate more social distancing plus boosters - who knows.



Daily deaths - peak 64 but bouncing up and down.



Good news is they seem to have peaked and it's dropping again, whatever they are doing.
