Victorians are back in lockdown today, after four more community transmissions were picked up overnight, bringing the state’s official number of active cases to 40.

While Sky News, The Herald Sun and the Federal Government have been quick to blame the incapacitated and wheelchair bound Victorian Premier Dan Andrews for this Avalon-sized cluster, the few Australian journalists with the ability think critically have begun asking questions about why the *smile* only 1.6% of Australian adults have been vaccinated.

In the three months since The Federal Government began the rollout of Australia’s COVID-19 vaccines, the United States and UK have managed to fully vaccinate over half their populations. Meaning in the time it’s taken us to give 4.5 million people at least one jab, our friends in the Northern Hemisphere have been able to plough through a couple hundred mil.

Now rivalling the binfire that was the 50 billion dollar NBN roll-out, Australia’s vaccine programme has suffered a range of setbacks since it started, none of which are our Prime Minister’s fault, obviously.

However, what is clear, is that if he’d vaccinated as many people as we were told he would have vaccinated by now, Victoria would not be in lock down.

“If more people were vaccinated, we might be facing a very different set of circumstances than we are today,” Victoria’s Acting Premier James Merlino told reporters, in an effort to subtly explain what the *smile* has gone wrong here.

The fact that our government had secured more than one vaccine until April has not been brought up once in any of the major mastheads, as they preferred to focus their attention on the disrespectful alleged rape victims who dare to hold our government MPs to account.

Morrison’s decision to generate conspiratorial skepticism around the AstraZeneca vaccine’s extremely rare side effects in an effort to buy time has thrown the entire strategy into chaos, as the vast numbers of the Australian public becomes justifiably hesitant after all this talk of blood clots in the first 20 million vaccines that took 4 months to *smile* get here.

Just reported on Ch9 in the state of Ohio all those who vaccinate go in a draw. Woman won 1.6 mill. Other states looking at doing the same that in US. Ohio had 50% vaccinated

Maybe food for thought too to speed up vaccination

I thought I heard Qantas are now rewarding people with frequent flyer miles if they get vaccinated in an effort to open the borders asap

You just got sucked in by the Betoota Advocate
Dan needs to be taken outside for some fresh air. Maybe a stroll along Frankston Pier seeking out speed bumps to make sure the operation is holding, followed by a quick dip at the end.

Pissing me off seeing all these muppets on the news whinging about the wait times. Where were they a month ago?

Not only that but then they say to the camera 'I can't get through on the phone'. So why the *smile* are you there lining up you *smile* moron?

Can't wait until next time I can't get through and miss tickets to something. I'm just going to roll up anyway and tell them at the gate I couldn't get through.
Yes. And you don't have to be Einstein or suffer from a chronic lack of maths ability to know that if 14 million doses were targeted for phase 1b, and that at the time when phase 2a (50 and over) was introduced on 3rd of May we only had 2.2 million doses administered, then notwithstanding some initial supply issues, 1b has had a chronic lack of uptake - until today.

Re Dan. Is he some sort bs saint due to his injuries. We should feeI sorry for that individual? I dont wish him harm but dont give a *smile* about him either.

No, not at all. He's just a human like the rest of us so you can empathise with him or not, up to you. The only pertinent thing about his health is that he's currently on leave, Merlino is Acting Prem.

On the other it's pretty clear Lee does wish him harm, there was the time when he was suggesting Premier Dan would be taken out in some sort of bizarre terrorist activity. That was weird.

Cool, fair enough.

I offer to take him out for some much-needed exercise and get these accusations. Shocking!

They should make a movie, Weekend At Daniel's, before he gets too smelly.

Ha, I've let Dan off the hook since he died. I haven't said boo about the lockdown. To me it's a federal government failure to let people in. The cost is far too great relative to the benefit. But you lot scream blue murder at any hint of anyone's rights being infringed.

The vaccination program is low on my list of priorities. You can ask ScoMo to explain the roadmap to you if you like; for me, it's enough to know that "mid-2022" is the scheduled re-opening. While the virus is rampant, I'm happy enough to keep it out. If you're desperate for it to happen sooner, you need to take it up with government. Maybe organise a protest.
What a load of steaming horseshit. Morrison has welched on his constitutional responsibilities to sort quarantine.

Yeah. I think I need to watch some footy and stop thinking about this particular hell-hole that we are all in right now.
Agree. Footy soon.

Such a polarised subject. Hate media and politicians. Haha

In the end Australia got lucky compared to the rest of the world. Just hope with the different heat(topics being focused on) at times at States & Feds by the end of the year we are in good stead.
