Coronavirus

Can anyone explain why Brett Sutton is refusing assistance from other states and territories for TRAINED contract tracers and yet the Vic Gov't is putting out an urgent call for Uni Students to assist  .

Victoria has so far not taken up an offer from other states and territories to send additional trained contact tracers to assist with the cluster that grew by four cases to 30 on the first day of a week-long statewide lockdown on Friday.

So Dan's mates with the Foxes? Not very cool, but can't make the connection with the injuries unless it's saying he was drunk at Portsea?

The rest of it seems pretty crackpot to be honest TBR

Edit oh i see, he raped L Fox's grand-daughter and the Foxes bashed the *smile* out of him which is how he got injured. Or he's been secretly arrested or something. And there are secret court cases between him and the Foxes over all this. And secret Chinese planes kept flying in to Melbourne during lockdown last year. They were bringing in the blood of virgin murdered Chinese children to keep Dan young I'm tipping.

That Cairns rag is funnier than the Betoota.

Jobs Victoria. It's a great idea.

Previously, they have helped security guards maintain an employment connection when nights clubs and bars were closed.

They dallied in marketing and film making to let us know how well they did providing support to the economy by creating all these additional jobs.

I can't see any issue with providing Victorian university students with real life, essential workplace experience to kick start their careers.

And, realistically, why pay full price for a suitably trained / qualified worker, when on the job learning can be given to young workers under a traineeship model.

No, and I've explained why, not that it's any of your *smile* business.

Does your vaccination make you exempt from lockdown?

It's not a cure-all.

Hey, all I'm seeing is the usual right wing attitude.

You're all in on how others should take individual responsibility when it comes to Australians who want to return home, but when it comes to you taking individual responsibility and having the vaccine, individual responsibility is out the window and you're MIA.

You want to wait until the vaccine that suits you is available, but more than happy to free ride off the herd immunity of the rest of the community being vaccinated.

No. Jam in donuts sucks as well. Cinnamon or iced the only way to go.

Given the situation it seems very strange that they wouldn’t take all the help they can get. Experienced contract tracers ignored so they can beg for uni students to do the job; seems a real sound strategy.

The Foxes are friends with lots of pollies. Andrews is friendly with Andrew Fox but the relationship is also about philanthropy as the Foxes are major donors in Victoria, especially to medical research projects.

Andrew Fox is also very friendly with Josh Frydenberg and Matthias Corman.

Go to that well known news bastion cairnsnews.org and all will become clear.
Okay, okay, another guess, he wasnt forth coming with money after getting a personal from a stripper.

She split his drink " water on the ground" on him, stood up "slipped" and fell "down". Maybe near the "stairs" . Then the bouncer coming in to kick him in a few places & grabbed the money???

Haha

I can piece it together... lol

It absolutely is. It's your facist Betoota, without the satire.

I thought Lee might enjoy the theories about Dan, although even they don't yet seem to have realised he may be dead.

I guess Lindsay might be the mysterious exec who Dan sold his soul to in the hotel quarantine thing that Lee kept alleging.

Oh FFS. I don't ever want to meet you because we wouldn't get along for more than five minutes.

Yes I'm waiting BECAUSE I CAN. If I get the virus in the meantime IT'S MY FAULT. I'm exercising MY JUDGEMENT.

If my employer tells me I need to work out of the CBD office, I'll get the jab tomorrow. But it hasn't.

What I'm doing is not affecting you!

Just the usual right wing attitude yet again.

It affects the community, I care about others not just myself.

It’s absolutely your right, I get that, but it is affecting those of us who need a certain percentage of Australians to be vaccinated in order for us to get back into the country - even just to visit our 90yo Mums.

It ain't happening until mid-2022. At what stage I and everybody I know gets vaccinated has no influence on that.

Possibly. The longer it takes though, the more chance there is of that being pushed back even further.
I'm guessing that's when the medical advisors think it will have subsided sufficiently in the rest of the world to start letting people in. It will depend where you're coming from - high COVID, no entry.

If it was all down to how fast Australia can get majority-vaccinated, I would get the AZ tomorrow. I've already explained that. But it's obviously not the sole deciding factor.

We could be living like this for another two years or even longer. A lot can happen in that time. I'm not rushing out to be injected with a serious drug just to tick a box.
