The Queensland CMO not covering herself in glory. Refused a woman from Canberra into QLD to see her dying (now dead) father but brags she’s let in AFL players and film productions in because it brings a lot of money into QLD.

Possibly. I'm sure ALP supporters thought so. Although 5 years later they are still in opposition. Probably better for the ALP if he had have stayed.

Maybe thats because the ALP DIDN'T take account of opinion polls. It was very clear from 2 years out from the election that Shorten had zero appeal to marginal voters, in fact he had the opposite, but they did nothing about it. Going into last years election with a competent leader may have resulted in a different outcome, going in with Shorten was either complete arrogance or they wanted to lose. I'm guessing the former.

Yeah, people pulling out the “bullying” call when they don’t like what’s being said quickly becomes the boy who cried wolf.

Nah, not arrogance or wanting to lose, just dumb. Shorten had been aiming for the top job since at least back when he was at Uni. I figure there was a feeling that he would improve in the job, he didn't. Shorten is a terrible communicator and just never seemed to learn.

Mind you, Albanese is not exactly showing a lot of talent. Seems a nice enough bloke but also seems to have a complete inability to cut through. I reckon they would be better off with Chalmers.

No idea who Chalmers is, but I get the same feeling about Albanese. Just doesn't seem electable. Similar to the Libs opposition in VIC, Michael O'Brien comes across as a massive tool.

Yep, O'Brien is definitely a tool.

Chalmers is the shadow treasurer, has got some coverage, comes across quite well and is a Queenslander and they could do with some seats in Queensland.

Anyway, back to the plague . . .

And 4.7 in regional Victoria I believe. I might have to get out of melbourne and go and buy a house in Moe or Morwell.

I must say the numbers are different when you look at different websites.

The numbers I use are from the DHHS website, they get amended each day and previous days' numbers often change, only by one or two. I amend my numbers each day.

Also, the numbers on the DHHS web site are for Victoria not Melbourne.

I think the main thing is to use a consistent source so I just use the DHHS. This way we can see the trend and you get consistency.

I’ve often spoken to people from those areas.
Not very nice people and leave it at that.
Apologies if I have offended anyone. Sorry.

It's pathetic ....Especially when it comes from someone in a post as powerful as Premier. And knowing that Morrison had no means of leverage over the decision even more so. But at least she saves money by appointing a CHO who doubles as a business generator.

Always thought Latribe Valley is perfectly located as regional centre, access to Mel, mountains and coast but seems to have a lingering reputation... hasn't been gentrified or hipster isems like coastal towns and places like Hepburn springs area.
