To me it was a poor political call above all. People don’t trust politicians in the end and rightly or wrongly it’s been seen as a grab for more power.Genuinely interested why you're worried? Seems a common sense approach to me.

Too bad Grace didn't take the same approach.
For once I'm going to agree with Lee, 12 months as opposed to say rolling 3 or 6 months is a bad look morale wise. Andrews is overreaching here.
Bolt has the virus.
Usain Bolt.
Many here: "Bolt has corona? Oh, that Bolt."
Got a little “bolt“ of your own so to say?I got quite excited for a few seconds
How's the hide of Wang Xining saying the virus didn't originate in China at today's press club presentation..
Australia 'hurt the feelings' of China with calls for coronavirus investigation, senior diplomat says
One of China's most senior diplomats refuses to say the coronavirus pandemic started in Wuhan, while accusing the Australian Government of damaging the relationship between the two countries with calls for an independent investigation into the virus.www.abc.net.au
The CCP thinks having a tantrum is being diplomatic.Well if the virus didn't start in China you'd think they'd be only too happy for an enquiry to prove it.
Me thinks they protesteth too much.
MMM thats interesting considering the Beijing press at the time of the outbreak were calling it the "Wuhan Virus"How's the hide of Wang Xining saying the virus didn't originate in China at today's press club presentation..

I would say that there is a high correlation between places with high comuntity transmission and high aged care infections.I notice yesterday that SCOMO and Freydenberg couldn't help but to score political points in regards to aged care in Victoria. The argument they used is both a statement of fact and completely irrelevant at the same time.
They said that there was a reason why there were no issues in aged care in all states except for Victoria and that's because there were large numbers of COVID cases in Victoria. Whilst that is true using that as a reason for their failures to prepare and react in the private aged care sector is just nonsense. It's the same diversion tactic used by Trump .... "don't blame me it's China's fault"
They may as well have said don't blame any of us because we didn't eat the pangolin
FFS don't play politics just lead !!
As I said, that there is a correlation between rates of aged care cases and the level of cases in the community is stating a fact. It is however not related to whether our aged care sector was and is prepared.I would say that there is a high correlation between places with high comuntity transmission and high aged care infections.
Dan plays politics in his announcemens every day. It's "private" aged care but never for example "state run Public hospital under J Mikakos ministerial responsibility " Frankston is rife with cases.
The fact that the greatest publc health system in the free world has cases galore in its hospital staff demonstrates that all the talent, knowledge, commitment, equipment, qualifications and high staffing levels is not enough to prevent contamination.
