Connors

It sounds like he's on the cusp, he kicked 4 in the magoos today. He has 14 weeks left to earn himself a one year deal.

I think he can really add something to our team, especially the forward line.

Agree.

Got a leap and can take a mark. Also is good in traffic and can evade defenders at ground level. Reckon he's suited more up forward with that x factor. Well done to the coaches for developing him there as he was passed up back by players like Batchelor. Could fill the biggest hole in the side at the moment but it's up to him.

14 goals in last few weeks I think. Get rid of King who is not offering us goals or defensive pressure right now. Bring in Condog.

King not hitting the scoreboard but is still offering defensive pressure. Will Connors bring that?
Worth a shot.

Connors is not the answer would have to seriously consider cutting up my membership if he ever plays for Richmond.

2 different type of players. I dont suspect Connors will be replacing King. But Nahas could be in the gun.

Connors should be tried as a forward option (bit like Shaun Higgins at the Dogs). Couldn't do worse than Nahas in recent weeks.

Need to try him for 2-3 weeks before reaching any final decision. He's a creative player and has to be tried in an attacking role for one last try.

Explain this to me. Connors would be replacing King because we're currently playing 3 small forwards and only need 2 but lack a mid sized option. King should go well before Nahas.

Well get the scissors out ::). He is still on our list and if he is performing he deserves a game in the firsts.

Dunno but we're running out of weeks to get our wins lets find out now rather later

Won't need to he is not mentally strong enough to keep himself out if trouble long enough to earn a spot.

The world is full of blokes (girls) like you with egg all over themselves.

Have you watched him play the last few weeks?

No did he play against Sydney or was it Collingwood?

Not sure where Connors stands at the moment, but he must be on his last chance surely.

Hopefully he realises that and pulls his finger out to make the grade.

I met him once at a kids footy clinic in Perth. He seemed like a quite likeable chap, so I hope he gets over what ever demons he has.

Connors asked to be traded out last year. If he still wants to leave at year end then forget playing him now. Pick players who want to play for our club.

Injury to Grimes and some poor form from our forwards and now we are calling for Connors. Now we are scapping the bottom of the barrel. Not the future. There are more players in front of him at Coburg who deserve the jumper.

Has kicked 11 goals in the last 3 games as a medium forward.

Connors is 23yo. Now is the time to test if he really has it.

If he doesn't ........

He is on the list and if he plays well enough for Coburg we should pick him.

One thing I do know is that he has the ability to be an AFL player. That doesn't mean that he will make a success of what has to be his last chance but its possible. He is also playing a role that we desperately need in the senior team.

Would really like him to succeed.

Agree.

We need something a bit different. Is a better contested mark than Miller, a better kick and better when the ball hits the ground. He couldn't be any worse defensively. The only thing he doesn't beat Miller at is chatting up supermodels (although apparently Brad has banned Connors from meeting Pia).
