Connors

Had to snigger and then had a wave of disgust come over my body one of the lads dropped this today,

"Bit of the Tivendale's about his kicking at times".

Ouch.

Connors was ordinary today and last week was bad also but i have faith in him.... he is a very good kick but has been off recently... has plenty of tricks, he will be a very good footballer for this club. He is moving to the midfield once he gets a bigger tank

Has never been the same since he has come back from suspension. He looks like he was given clockwork orange rehab.

hmmm, the only RFC player to pull Coaches votes last week. Can't have been the real CWO treatment

I dont think he could have hit the side of a bus with todays kicking efforts. Good thing for him was that he wasnt alone.

Bad thing for us that the bus ran us over.

We have played the Blues into some sort of form now after their belting of the Bombers.

They should get one of the retired champs like Jimmy Jess or Maurice Riolli to drive a bus around the training ground and run drill to see who can hit the side of the bus. maybe that bus from the fourandtwenty pie add with Ted and Louie and all them like Dipper eating pies. No player is aloud to go home until they have all hit the side of the bus.

Then we would at least be on par with VFL level footballers. I guess its a start :help I am joking of course.

Had a shocker. He's better than that and is one of the positives of this season. Will be a very good player for us in a few years.

I agree. He struggled but at least you could see that he was trying to impliment the game plan. He just needs to work harder on the basics and he will be ok for us in the long run.

Connors looked tired to me. Perhaps his fitness is fading. I reckon that's all it is.

Agree Melaney, that 8 weeks in the wilderness is starting to catch up with him now. Needs another solid preseason under his belt and he should be all the better for it.

connors has been the most disappointing aspect of our past few performances. thought he had turned the corner but unfortunately still has a long long way to go.

As do most 22 game "veterans"

I don't think tiredness is all that relevant. He should be in fine physical shape - his life revolves around being fit & he is 22yo. I hope it's more a case of having the doggies virus - his slow jog in a supposed attempt to chase early on was appalling. Must have replayed it half a dozen times. I imagine the club will have him watching it a lot more - along with a "pklease explain". Unless they know more to it. Agree that he needs to work on disposing with his right foot. Everyone knows he will only kick on his left.

I reckon his one-sidedness is the key factor in his recent decline. People have simply woken up to him and will move to force him right.

In addition, some of his kicks on Saturday were eerily Tivendale-esque....

However, as mentioned elsewhere, he is very young and with a good pre-season (where he is not allowed to kick left-footed) he will be much more effective next year.

I’m a fan and it will kill my dreamteam, but I think we should drop him for a week or two to work on a few things in the Burg
