Keep for another year and assess at end of 2010.

If Hardwick can't turn him arounnd he'll be punted.

Agree. I'm hoping our poor coaching/player relations were his biggest problem, too much talent to give up on easily. Yet now at the end of his grace period and time to show something consistently.

Didn't Dan put in a stellar off season last year ?

If working hard during the off season gives us 09's performance, I reckon we try a different tact and supply him with beers and smokes this pre-season.

I hope Beavis can turn him around. Connors could be the next Nathan Brown in terms of skill, excitement and impact if he wants to be.
Pretty sure he spent most of it in his moon boot.

Hopefully his natural aggression appeals to Hardwick and he sees something he can work with. Still have a chuckle at him fronting Barry Hall in his first game. I suspect there are proven failures on the list who can go before him.

I've said the same thing myself, the one big difference however is that Nathan had a elite work ethic and running capacity. Something Connors must have at his size/position and is yet to develop.

You think good when not thinking about what to order on a visit to the Colonel. ;D

:hihi I'm sure he's love that.

I'm one that can see some potential in Connors and think his lack of development is attributable to a failure to extract the digit rather than anything to do with his lack of ability. Reckon we need to assess him under the new regime before cutting him and, to be honest, with the number that we need to cut it makes sense to hold on to him anyway.

Keep for one year. Still remember the game against hawthorn last year. Selection of Jack R, Shane E & Conners may be viewed as a success.

Dont forget A. Collins

Connors is contracted for 2010 if I recall.

I'd give him one more year. Crawford said in the article he wrote Hardwick played a big part in trying to get Williams and Buddy to adopt a more team first attitude.

Delistings arent official until list lodgement.

But we've said we're delisting him. Why would an opposition team now say, yeah ok we'll accept him for a trade when they could pick him up PSD or late draft pick for nothing now (if they really wanted him)

Because they risk another club drafting him before they can.

You think clubs will be fighting each other for Brown? I guess there's a first for everything. The battle for the 32yo Richmond reject.

Nope. Just explaining why if a club did want him, they might trade rather than wait for the draft. Brown's career is finished and rightfully so.
