Connors

One more year for Connor's under Hardwick who is entirely different to Wallace or Rawlings, Hardwick will expect nothing less than 110% from those on the playing field or on the training track. Connors will have to lift his game mentally, he's got the playing skill's its his attitude that needs some firm adjustment.

I don't think Dan has done a full pre-season yet, with ankle injuries the last two years. As a young player who is probably more footballer than athlete he needs to get some solid kms in his legs so he can become more consistent in games.

His attitude seemed to take a turn for the better last pre-season until he got injured.

If you want to see why people always rave on about his bad attitude just visit his facebook. Absolute metro idiot who is so up himself it isn't funny, this applies to Cleve Hughes as well. It seems to have carried over into his football which is not surprising. If he is to make it next year he will have to lift his level of professionalism tenfold. I would love, LOVE for him to make it. One of the only players on our list with a long, accurate and penetrating kick. He could be the ultimate replacement for Brown on the HFF but I'm not hopeful.

Got a link for his facebook? There are quite a lot of Dan Connors on there.

Go here, you will find a lot of the players if you search through the last few pages. Quite a few funny pics of what looks like an end of season trip on certain players pages and a lot of 'interesting' comments. Fair to say a lot of our boys haven't matured yet.

Just don't want to be giving out their links and stuff.

You can get to it through the bigfooty thread anyway. Its just typical young guy stuff, at least the players seem to get on well together. You need to be accepted as a friend to actually see their pages.

There aren't many Cleve Hughes though, and from there you can find Dan and a plethora of other young AFL players.

With 25 touches Connors was another rare highlight tonight.
Looks much fitter than last year and hopefully has decided he wants to make the most of his considerable talents.
Encouraging stuff.

Most of his disposals were loose across the backline, and those are usally pretty stock standard kicks in terms of difficulty, yet he still managed to turn the ball over a few times. I like him as a foward, where he can create and baulk and take speccys and whatever, whereas i think we need someone more clinical of disposal in the position he played tonight.

He does look fitter though.

In the backline you need people absolutely mentally focused.....still not sure if he's got that. Not bad tonight though.

thought he was a positive. composed, played a sweeper type role, and for the most part did well. encouraging game!

As soon as Dan quite the mentality that "I'm a super cool footballer and I'll do these "cool" looking kicks" he may come good. For a bloke of his skill he really does either turn it over or miss the mark too often.

Dont agree. Thought he played the backline position very well last night. Backline requires more discipline and its the perfect position for Connors to continue to learn about the team game rather than the individual.

The One Trick Pony has worked hard over the pre-season, looks fitter than he's ever been. 25 disposals against a rampaging Hawthorn with the ball in our defence the majority of the time is nothing to hang your hat on.

After last nights game, Bowden would of racked up 50 disposals.

Daniel has been one of the few positives this season and looks to cementing his place in the side.

Gotta give him credit for doing exactly what DH asked for when he came to the club. When it was his turn to go in, he went in.

He's dropped his head a couple of times in the past, but tonight he put his body on the line and hopefully he doesn't pay the price for it because it was a courageous effort !! :clap :clap
