Im not going to defend GM or have a go at anyone who is not a GM fan but can somebody tell me when he has been the head recruiter an when he has had final say?

Just a couple of facts :drafted mature ages due to money reason's early on,from the horse's mouth at the time would have preffered kids
Meyer TW insisted on,JON FJ's choice

Geez and I though FJ was doing ok until I read that. Give me more players like Connors and I will be happy.
1 mistake out of 10 is pretty good drafting ratio I reckon ;D

Are you serious CC? What's all the waffle from the club lately about Miller having to much to do and getting more resources to help him? It's been common knowledge that Miller has been in charge of RFC recruiting ever since he came to the club. Jackson works for him doesn't he? And if JON was his choice for no. 8 pick in 2005 then God help us for the future. Miller is the great excuse maker.

my understanding is Jackson has final say on recruiting for the draft, Miller for the trades and PSD.

Correct

An as Ridley's good mate could say, Miller wanted Renouf last year an FJ did not we were not going to touch him as FJ didnt rate him

Maybe, but Miller was in charge of National Draft in 02, 03, 04 at least, And our efforts from those drafts were very ordinary.

Couldn't believe that when I was told. I saw Renouf play for Box Hill on Anzac Day and his kicking makes Angus Graham look like Nathan Buckley!! That alone should be enough to have Miller banished from the club.

For what it's worth CC, what did Jackson see in JON that no other club did?

Live in the now Riddles :cutelaugh

Seriously mate, many of those are gunna cop it in the neck in October is March is on the money (ignoring numbers, he was indicating few from Frawleys reign will be here in 2008).

Its Saturday night, in the wee hours, and two late to stress. Either grab a beer or a woman (or fella if thats what floats your boat) and kick back. The seasons almost over, so its all not forth having a stroke over mate.

Lets hope that this will all change with the new stucture. I believe that this is what the changes are all about. Lets hope our recruting improves dramatically although I think Jackson has been better already. ALA Connors.

For memory on Draft day FJ was most excited about his speed an agility thought he could become a super attacking half back/midfielder an thought his kicking was fine,a lot of x factor I think.

Fact is though if Varcoe's medical report's were better they would have taken him FJ was very very keen to get Muston actually but they put a line through because of the knee reco

Yeah because the now is so exciting for RFC supporters. Never thought I'd say it but the Frawley era doesn't look so bad at the moment

Riddles, put the bong down and step away. That is some baaaaad gunja you must be smoking mate!

Next thing you will be telling me Beck was a recruiting genius, "Da Geisch" was a tactical mastermind, and KB was the worlds greatest coach who was brutally betrayed by the RFC who didn't understand the genius of Lounder.

HEY! I told you to put the bl00dy bong down. Now there are tim tams and nachos in the kitchen, yes, there you go, :wave

Well next time you see him and he mentions "X factor" can you slap him around the head? X factor is *smile*! Tell him to get us natural footballers with a good footy brain and good skills. That's what wins premierships.

No good being fast and agile if you can't kick. Go and do high jump or long jump or something.

I'm pretty sure Claw said there was not a knock on JON's kicking as a junior.

Kicking aside, he doesn't seem to bring much else anyway.

I wish I had a bong, might be calmer.

Funny, most of what you posted sounds like the sort of stuff you'd say to defend the pitiful performance of the club ::)

Apparently he's fast and can jump high. Good if your a sprinter or a basketballer.
