Was good today CC no doubt and with the entry of Casserly and Edwards, Foley things look a little better in the midfield for the coming seasons.

With Cotchin likely at #2 a better looking midfield is slowly emerging.

Connors, Foley and Thursfield led the way today and should all be applauded.
Dont forget Collins Craigy, Oh please dont forget Collo ;)

Looks the goods,a player we can get excited about.

Mb64,

He does look good, but I am not getting excited just yet.

We have had many players come through the club that we 'can be excited about' only for them to suffer the dreaded curse of the Bermuda Triangle called the "Richmond Football Club", where players that show any talent or skills in their first year, mysteriously lose any sense of awareness and skill as their time at the club goes on.

Let's wait and see how he goes in his 2nd and 3rd seasons before we get "excited", o.k? ;)

sh!ts all over Tambling..............oooops sorry I forgot, they are different players.
But is he as good as Buddy

Connors will have no hesitations to run through Buddy, Connors is a good find, and will be a quality player if he stays off the drink.

Why does it ALWAYS have to be a competition? :brickwall :bash :pullhair

Because being better than your opponents is what gets you premiership glory.

But there is NEVER anything positive about the comparisons. How is sticking the boot in at every opportunity going to get you premiership glory? We've been doing that for 25 years and look what that's got us.

Dont panic mate just a little banter with me old mate Geoffery

P.S I hate the comparison more then anyone an really feel for the young man

I think the only reason the Tambling/Buddy comparison is happening is the Hawks love it because it gets everyone stopping the Judd/Hodge comparison.

Funny this is Hodge took a while but eventually came on, and is now a GUN in his own right

I suppose panicing is the one thing I don't think I am doing. Sorry to react to your private joke but buddy and tambo are red rags to a bull for me. Personally I am of the opinion that encouraging the positives works far better than labouring the negatives. This has been my experience in life anyway.

Irockz,
If Connors ends up playing where Joel has been playing, then I'll be expecting us to stay down where we are until 3011!!!
Connors would be great in the middle, given time.....and as stated before, Joel should be given free license ala Chad Cornes from Port.

And people.....shut up about Bling and Buddy.
Franklin is overrated and if he was in our team now, he would be classed as a DUD of the highest magnitude, because he wouldn't have a midfield consisting of Hodge, Lewis, Crawford, and Mitchell hitting him on the chest (he can't mark overhead either and gets most of his goals from his ground play.).
So if you want to bag Bling and hail the Great Franklin, then get off the Connors thread and whinge somewhere else about it!

Number of times Connors has had 25 disposals in his career. 1
Number of times, Krak, Tambling, White, Pettifer, Hartigan, King and Howat have had 25 disposals. 0

Dont krak, Petts, and King play in the forward line or the back, makes it hard to rack up 25
