Number of times, Krak, Tambling, White, Pettifer, Hartigan, King and Howat have had 25 disposals. 0

nice stat there BJ but how many times has polo had 28 or more after his debut?
I cant think of a game where Polo hasnt had a job on one of the oppositions better players,an I would be surprised if next year he dosent average around the 20 touches as he will get more of a free regein next year,
I think he was averaging near 15 before he got injured

Connor's isn't gonna be a dud so why compare him to those other dud's.

Pettifer is not a midfielder.

Pettifer is not a ....

I'm no member of the Pettifer fan club, But....
Pettifer is a half-foward flanker who has kicked 29 goals in 18 games this season, I know he's not the perfect player going around
especially defensively, But he is playing his role for the team.
If other blokes did the same be wouldn't be sitting on the bottom of the ladder.

Connors carries more weight than half our so called midfileld have all year. For me he would fill a midfield spot all year. Has size, and aggro and skill to boot. Hell even Tony Shaw acknowledged him. ;D

I think the only reason the Tambling/Buddy comparison is happening is the Hawks love it because it gets everyone stopping the Judd/Hodge comparison.

Funny this is Hodge took a while but eventually came on, and is now a GUN in his own right

Funny, IMHO Hodge has now plateaued at a lower level than I expected. I expected him to seriously challenge Judd as the best player in the competition but he's not close to doing that.

Liked what I saw of Connors today. A natural footballer with a good footy brain; an extremely scarce commodity at RFC. Pretty well skilled and a bit of mongrel as well. Our recruiters may finally have found a gem amongst the littany of duds they've recruited over the years. Good luck to him; I hope he doesn't get infected by the failure and mediocrity that pervades the joint.

Good point Ian. Hodge was bordered on being disappointing in the last two seasons the way his career was skyrocketing.

Kudos to Connors, now where are all those posters bemoaning his aggression.

He half belted a pussy today as well. He's got some real *smile* in him this kid; I like it. It's about *smile* time we had a player like that other than the introverted softies that have infested the place lately. Let him loose!!

I suppose panicing is the one thing I don't think I am doing. Sorry to react to your private joke but buddy and tambo are red rags to a bull for me. Personally I am of the opinion that encouraging the positives works far better than labouring the negatives. This has been my experience in life anyway.

funny that because my experince in life is always take care of the negatives and the positives will look after themselves

diff'rent strokes i guess

Maybe the change in recruiting staff has something to do with it hey Riddles. ;)

Well by his skill level on display today it's obvious Miller had no role whatsoever in recruiting him.

Liking this kid, he's better developed physically than most players the RFC recruit, he's got skill (have to train that out of him), he's tough and smart.

Im not going to defend GM or have a go at anyone who is not a GM fan but can somebody tell me when he has been the head recruiter an when he has had final say?

Just a couple of facts :drafted mature ages due to money reason's early on,from the horse's mouth at the time would have preffered kids
Meyer TW insisted on,JON FJ's choice

Geez and I though FJ was doing ok until I read that. Give me more players like Connors and I will be happy.
