Changes Vs the Power Ranger

I love dave I really do, but does anyone remember him playing fwd . i do and he was ordinary at best i know we weren't any good then but im not to sure he will be that effective. The two obvious choices are Chol and edwards
His debut was as a forward. It was against Melbourne, and he kicked 3. We still lost, though. Been backline since then. Threw him forward as a bit of an experiment once or twice, but he didn’t do well. Defence is his only spot now realistically.

Reckon our backline is well balanced

we have 4 runners giving us alot of drive which teams won't be able to contain

the slow cats could not stop our rebound

so what do we do with dtld?
Totally agree, so it may be that Down to Love doesnt play.
Its Broad that gives us a lead on this. Broady is out while smaller faster Markov is in. You are right this gives us 4 runners and unstoppable bounce.
Since last year when Grimes shuffled up the order to fill Alex,s role, we have been content with 1 key which was Dave. Now its Noah

Reckon if he's fit to play we need to play DTLD, even if it's for a half. He needs matches.

I understand the rationale around a smaller backline, but we got glimpses of what can happen when a 2nd tall gets off the leash when Ratagolia cluncked a couple in Geelong's golden 10 minutes :rotfl2

Dave takes the gorilla, Balta minds the 2nd tall, and Grimes or Vlas play interceptor. Against Brisbane Grimes will climb back into Charlie Cameron's head.

Chol is surely in. His last couple of games weren't great but his last game at AO was fantastic, and we need him. 5 goals in scratchie. In.

Sheds in, no-brainer.

Lynch and Soldo the certain outs.

The only question is, is Dave Down To Love? And if so, who out? I suspect Aarts. His form has tapered off. We have to accept we will most likely have a losing ruck division from here out. So we fortify the midfield and Ross stays in.

This is what I am thinking.

But I just cant see Hardwick not squeezing in DLTD who has been a key piece to our team both on and off the field.

I agree.
Dave has to play.
Pity Broad is out of favour.
Sides would struggle to kick a winning score against that backline.

B Grimes, Balta, Baker
HB Short, Astbury, Broad

Tigger & Bachar?
Tigger , sorry I knew I missed someone as I was thinking doing somethings left field against Adelaide.
Houli -wing. That’s my view.

B Grimes, Balta, Vlastuin
HB Short , Astbury, Broad

I would love to give Baker ‘Boy Assassin’ a midfield look in against the Crows . As well as Pickett.

Markov hasn’t done anything wrong but finals is a different game altogether. Tough call.

KMac premiership player, proven in finals takes one wing & Houli ‘Douli’ the other.

I wouldn’t mine having a look at this against Adelaide. Gives us flexibility in the finals if things don’t go our way.

Tough all round.
Even for Aarts. He MAY find himself out as I’m trying to see if we call fit all of -
Astbury
Prestia
Edwards
Broad

Think Caddy May find it hard to get in.

Hate to be making tough decisions on-

Markov
Aarts
Ross
????

Markov cannot be dropped. He is going well. Cool under pressure and his run out of the backline is elite.

He goes to key defence and Balta plays relief ruck/rover if Chol doesnt show the required insity for finals.

Tommy back in at FF, Markov to rotate through the wings with Marlion and Kamdyn.

Broad would then be a bench option to provide defence insurance/versatility.

Baker doesn't have to play through defence he can play anywhere thats why he is in the side, he'd be damaging as a small forward.
