Changes v lolNorf

OUT: the injured: Soldo, Nank, Tom (3 big bodies) .... OUT: the players who disappointed: Aarts, Castagna. OUT: not quite there yet. Dow maybe MRJ

IN: The obvious, Vloss, Ryan. IN: the injury comeback - Balta, Gibcus , Martin, Lambert Cotchin (last 3 50.50?). Others worth a look: Clark,
Out: Nank, Soldo, Lynch, George
In: Ryan, Vlastuin, Gibcus, Ross
Yeh I think this but would probably add Dow as an exit too.

This assumes Balta, Cotch and Martin are not available for this game as well.

Lynch wanted to play on on Saturday with his hamstring awareness, would he be any chance after 7 days break?

Bloody hope not. Would be all we need to have a very minor " awareness " get shredded into a six month ripped off the bone scenario. The way we're going with injuries the hammy monster is just lurking in the bushes n giggling away 'coz he's gunna leap out n *smile* us over at any minute now.

Stamped papers?? Whilst I think Dow might offer something in seasons to come, we needed a extractor - RDC and he has hardly been sighted as an emergency.
Not RCD fault he doesn’t get a decent run when preference is given to George FAarts who have constantly failed

Pilot Medical Update ahead of Saturday's Round 18 match against North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.

Toby Nankervis, knee

"Toby had an incident early in the game with a ruck contest at the centre bounce and got a direct hit on the knee. A typical PCL-type injury that the rucks get from time to time in that jump where they make contact. He's had this injury last year as well and he's been managing it pretty much for the past 12 months but it's been under control. It stirred him up and he was playing through the game but had a number of ruck contests were there was contact and late in the game he was flagging with us that he was really struggling to run. So, with 10 minutes to go, medically we decided that he would finish (the game) there. He's pulled up surprisingly not too badly, so we haven't actually ruled him out of this weekend's game. He's in the doubtful category right now, we just want to have another look at it later in the week. The scans have showed pretty much what we already knew... He's not completely out of the frame for the weekend."

Tom Lynch, hamstring

"Tom, early in the game in the first five minutes, was accelerating to chase and had some awareness in his right hamstring, the opposite leg to his injury from a couple of weeks back. He took the shot at goal and then came off and flagged with us that he didn't feel comfortable. Some scans today have shown that he's got a little bit of signal. So, he's going to miss this week and we'll put him though a short rehab phase. Hopefully it will be a very short-term injury, but we'll wait and see."

Dustin Martin, hamstring

"Dustin's progressing well. He didn't play on the weekend with his injury from the West Coast game, but he's progressing his speed and some kicking and agility. He won't be available this week, and given next week it's a short turnaround on the Friday night, it's going to be touch and go. Dustin's missed some footy earlier in the year as well with some time off, so it's really important that we maximise his preparation and make sure that when he comes back, he's safe and he can finish off the year strongly."

Ivan Soldo, hand

"Ivan had an incident during the game where he's broken his thumb. He's having some surgery tomorrow (Tuesday) and he'll miss this week, but we think it's a very short turnaround and we're hopeful he'll be available next week."

Jack Ross, knee

"On our main session last Thursday we had a little bit of match simulation and he was involved in an incident where he twisted and tweaked the medial ligament in his knee. He came out at the end of that session and did some running and was actually feeling not too bad, so we took him up to the Gold Coast to give him every chance... But in our Captain's Run he wasn't 100 per cent comfortable, so we took him out of the squad... Right now he's in the doubtful category, but we'll wait and see how the week pans out."

Josh Gibcus, illness

"He was ill last week and just needed the week to recover. He started training with us today (Monday) so he'll get the full week of training in and will be available for selection this week."

Noah Balta, hamstring

"Noah's coming off a hamstring injury and he will do full training this week and be available for selection, providing he gets through the full week of training."

Trent Cotchin, clavicle

"Trent had that clavicle surgery a fortnight ago. He's going to resume training with us this week. He's seeing the surgeon tomorrow and our doctors will hopefully give him the tick off to be available this week, but we'll have more news on that later in the week."

Kane Lambert, Achilles/hip

"Kane has been managing his long-term chronic hip injury. He wasn't feeling good enough last week during training and he's also developed a little bit of Achilles tendonitis out of the previous game he played where he was the sub. It's a difficult one with Kane, because he's missed a little bit of football now and a little bit of training with the hip. So, we're going to put a couple of weeks of preparation back into Kane and let things settle a little bit and try and tune him up for the last part of the season. Hopefully we'll see him back out there again soon."

Sydney Stack, fractured cheekbone

"There was an incident in the VFL game where he has an undisplaced fracture in his cheekbone. No surgery needed, so now it's just healing time. He had a little bit of a concussion episode with that, so he's in the 12-day concussion protocol, but he also needs a couple of weeks for the cheekbone. He won't be playing this weekend and I don't think he'll be available the following week, we'll keep everyone updated over the next few weeks."
