Who ever is selected it's going to be a team far from the one we wanted leading into the pointy end of the season with ageing champions pushing for one more flag. The footy gods can be cruel at times.

Wonder if there will be a single team posted that doesn't advocate dropping Arts and George!
And Whilst I will too; we shouldn't forget that Arts and George are just not up to it! (George the worst kick at goal since Peter Cloke (saw him kick a set shot into the ankles of the man on the mark)). The greeater failing in my opinion was Short and by extension Vlaustin last week.

We have just given away dumb frees and dumb 50's all year. And whilst Dimma has frequently bemoaned it in pressers, has a single player been ommitted because of one of them? I remember we once dropped Richo for poor body language!

Time to make a statement Dimma - drop Short and don't bring in Vlaustin. Sure, it puts at risk the 'W' but if we can't bear North with a depleted team we are no chance anyway.

We are 18-19-1 since our 2020 flag - less than a 50% win ratio!

Outs: Lynch (inj), Soldo (inj), Nank (inj), Castagna, Aarts, Dow
Ins: Ryan, Gibcus, Balta, Cumberland, Vlustuin, Ross

Noah Balta, hamstring

"Noah's progressing through his hamstring rehab. Today, he ran at a really good speed, probably about 90 per cent. We've introduced some ground balls and the various football actions where he got injured in the game. That's what we try to do, replicate the type of injury and how it was caused. Hitting top speed and his football actions are what we're working on at the moment, so he'll be in a pretty strong position by the weekend and then we have to make a decision next week as to how this looks into the Gold Coast game or the North Melbourne game the week after that. I would say the North Melbourne game is the most realistic."

Statement needs to be made.

Must be 5 changes this week.

No point playing blokes who would likely be dropped if their were no injuries,. They should still be dropped.

George, Aarts, Dow and MJ should all be dropped but along with the three injuries but that would be seven changes. Maybe keep MJ at least he doesn't get the ball enough to make bad errors and he applies good pressure.

Ever since Rob Innes left Richmond and went to Swans we have had an horrendous amount of repeat soft tissue injuries . Others clubs don’t have this issue . Balta plays this week as should Dusty ( hamstring awareness, really )

Cotchin was doing repeated hamstrings under Innes’ watch. Reckon a bigger factor is our aging list and high intensity game plan.

MJR might not touch the ball much, but without him we would literally have zero fwd pressure. Zero.
