Changes v Freo

I like Higgins but geez his foot skills can let him down at times.

yes, Jayden Short he aint. and his set shot goal kicking can be Clinton King-like.

but he gets to where the ball is and creates things.

Emergencies RCD Ralphsmith Miller Ross

Was just about to post the emergencies.
Kids doing well.

Not going to be a walk in the park.
We don’t tag so expect Fyfe to will his team.
I know they were disappointing against GWS.
Their forwards could give us some grief. A lot will be asked of Balta. We look a little short down back.
midfield will decide this.
Thought they might have ( maybe ) rested Soldo.

With Taberner, Lobb and Hogan they've gone tall to stretch us, then they will throw Fyfe forward as well as Mundy when they rest them back it in.

We might be a tall short in this game, they have plenty of threats, the Tigers must control the midfield to mitigate their size advantage.

If Miller couldn't get a run with that set up he aint getting a run.

Markov and Grover are going to be under pressure this game to play more contested footy one on one in marking contests in the defensive half which aint their strongsuit.

Balta gets the deepest tall, Broad gets the roamer up the ground and Vlastuin gets whose left.

I'd almost consider putting Jack to CHB for the game and open the forward line for Tommy and Dusty and just hit them with the small pace and chaos attack ala 17 / 18 they will *smile* their pants down back then.

Going to be interesting, we MUST turn up to play this week, no room for complacency.

We must start well and not be complacent after last weeks big win.

I agree this has some element of danger on it this game they've still got blokes who can do a lot of damage, and its a free hit for them.

Their height will be our biggest issue and the only way we can counter it is to have our midfield getting on top of theirs and shutting down their speed of ball movement.

Maybe Noah needs to concuss another tall forward jumping into a contest.

Miller missing out is a disappointment and rather unfair if he never gets a chance to show his wares at this level.

Good to see Higgo get his chance again, thought we wouldn't see him again this year but happy for the kid.
Freo gone very tall with Hogan, Lobb and Taberner.

Emergencies: RCD, Ross, Miller, and Ralphsmith

Logical replacements that doesn't disrupt our balance too much. I just can't see Fremantle troubling us. They've beaten Swans, Crows, Hawks, Saints and Pies in an injury ravaged stage. Playing an extra tall forward will play into our hands. Balta, Broad, Vlastuin, Baker, Houli is still a pretty strong backline.
