Changes V Dees

Another week another team selection shocker. Getting used to it now. How Sonsie gets dropped is just baffling. Why the rush to bring him back in only to drop him the following week. Fair dinkum they've seriously lost the plot.
We wont get within 8 goals of the Dees so not sure why they arent getting games into the cubs. Basically, Sonsie is sitting this one out so we get Cotch one game closer to 300. Pretty pathetic

Gawn didn’t look right to me in the training footage they showed yesterday. Big strapping on the knee…seemed to have a bit of a hipsy gait going. Reckon Pooncebourne might be going a bit early with him.
Can guarantee you Gawn will still dominate on Monday even with one leg. Miller ffs is scared of the wind at times

I agree but it’s not about Cotch. Cotch has earnt the right and if gets some mid time may provide something this week I have a feeling. Need to find another ‘out’, I know who mine is

I can’t see how M Rioli gets selected in this team on form. It’s pressure skills and not much else at the moment.

He’s been ordinary at AFL level, dropped to the VFL against the Bulldogs and was poor (I watched it first hand) & barely average when he came on last week. From my perspective, Monday night is it for him. If he plays poorly, then he should have an extended spell at VFL level & concentrate on getting & using the ball, rather than just defensive acts.

I’d have been far more inclined to persevere with Sonsie that M. Rioli.
Agree goes missing way too much almost becoming 1 player down.

With swans getting absolutely smashed, but same side easily beating us,and swans really struggling last 3 match's, it shows how bad we were last week.

If our home ground was *smile* shaped and we’d played them there I reckon we’d have been a 10 goal better side too.

2 big men that play like pussy cats.
Miller & Sampson
Where's Stafford when you need him?
Does Miller actually know his career is on the line? Stand up and take a mark ffs

Just had a look at both teams stats for the year and pretty close EXCEPT for the centre clearances.5 more on av for Melb. And turnovers 8 more on av for the Tiges.Think we have got something to work on.
So that's five cheap goals for Smelbourne on clearances and another eight easy goals from our unskilled turnovers. Then we match up fairly even for the rest of the game.
Yeah, thirteen goal hiding smells like a distinct possibility the way we've been travelling this year.

If Gawn is a late out, do we drop one of our talls (Miller)?
No, we’ll need them both to handle the Dees. Mind you, I doubt either of them will make it, and probably wouldn’t get a game if we had ANYONE else to pick.

If only Soldo was fit. Would be the perfect opportunity to play him. Hopefully soon.

What is becoming very apparent with the Tiges is that when it starts to rain we are crap.

Are we any chance?
Their ins make them significantly stronger on paper.
How do we possibly kick a score to beat them?
Of course we are a chance. We would have to play much better than last week but so would the demons

I am not saying we will win this match but we are capable if we play more than a quarter of good footy

Just not really lining up for us.

Lever and Gawn back.

Oliver escapes suspension.

Have our expectations ever been lower for a game in the last 5 years?

the key to avoiding disappointment is to have very low expectations……it’s what got me through all the lean years….But since 2017 have got out of the habit of having low expectations……I’m not ready to start thinking like it’s 2004 again.…..
