Changes V Dees

If we cannot do the basics right kicking and general skills etc and stop the silly mistakes all of this happening all season this could get ugly.

Our VFL side is doing quite well against Casey considering our depth has been smashed

Another week another team selection shocker. Getting used to it now. How Sonsie gets dropped is just baffling. Why the rush to bring him back in only to drop him the following week. Fair dinkum they've seriously lost the plot.
We wont get within 8 goals of the Dees so not sure why they arent getting games into the cubs. Basically, Sonsie is sitting this one out so we get Cotch one game closer to 300. Pretty pathetic

He played 2 games in a row, not 1 and out.

Maybe he is feeling not quite 100% coming back from the injury, so they have decided to give him some rest but also some game time. You don't know the situation and neither do I, but geez its getting tiring hearing from you. You seem to love it when we play *smile* as you can just come in and do your usual negative nelly act.

Every game, you ask for changes, they bring some changes in and every game you say "lost at the selection table". Maybe don't worry about it so much or you'll give yourself a heart attack!!

Of course we are a chance. We would have to play much better than last week but so would the demons

I am not saying we will win this match but we are capable if we play more than a quarter of good footy

People seem to be forgetting that we were 1 of the better teams last year. We have contributed a lot to our own issues this year with ball use and decision making. Injuries don't help but we are a lot better team than the first 5 rounds results show.

My guess is Sonsie will be sub and the plan will be to replace cotch late in the 3rd, unless injury of course.

the key to avoiding disappointment is to have very low expectations……it’s what got me through all the lean years….But since 2017 have got out of the habit of having low expectations……I’m not ready to start thinking like it’s 2004 again.…..
Smart approach as a fan.

I think the downside is that the upside is diminished as you are more emotionally disconnected.

Obviously to be successful at something you need to give yourself and/or your team high expectations and risk the disappointment.

In all.honesty if I was to rate our performances in all.matches by a 1,2,3 with
1 a bad loss
2 ok performance
3 really good win.
Carlton 2
Adelaide 3
Pies 1
Bulldogs 1
Swans 1
I see 2 decent performances so far.
Although bulldogs was a close loss, we kicked a 8 goal quater and lost the other 3 quarters.

Phhht. Stumbled into the eight n straight back out again. Blew plenty of games through pure lack of skills and composure. As for this years results, ya don't win many games by playing scintillating footy for fifteen or twenty minutes and bog ordinary for the other eighty or so. Skills and composure again our Achilles this year.

Haarrgh. Nah poshy, just a pissed off grumpy old Tiger who was finally starting to enjoy us being premium n all of a sudden I've got to turn things 180 degrees n try to get used to us being *smile* all over again. Gettin to old for all this wishin n hopin crap. Eight flags during my lifetime has me kinda thinkin we should simply be up there contending all the time instead of getting all flakey n horrible once again.

Butler and Higgins tearing it up at the G .
Offer them a big 9f chips to come back ?.)

Oh for the good old days where the club would put Choldo out on the Park when Nank was injured.

2019 - Choldo carved up the opposition

Line in the sand footy is the refuge of bad teams

But

We need one this week.

How Jack Ross , and yeah we know his shortcomings, doesn't get an extended run in the firsts is a little beyond me ..

others get a gig who do less than him

tore it up in the VFL today against a very strong Casey Ds and basically led the team

He cant do anymore in the VFL.

The last 2 full games he played in the firsts including a final he was arguably in our best 5. Has been treated very poorly, his disposal is at least as good as some of the more highly credentialed ( and paid) players. He is scapgoated for our poor team form.

ROSS'S KICKING IS NOT AFL STANDARD

WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF A LOOK AT HIM

HE IS NOW LAST PICKED

FFS

Selection integrity , there isn’t any at Punt
Gifted games to JNR and Juddy this week , while Jack Ross stars each week in the VFL
Amazing
