Changes v Cats

I doubt there will be many changes and nor should there , I’d hope a lot of the ads would want to atone for there shithouse performance, I’d like to see Naish debut, his VFL form has been outstanding, I’d like to see Graham come back in, for whatever reason I think we are a better side with him in it. I understand what Butlers fans see in him, however I rather just about every other small on the list in front of him. I’m also not against playing a CCJ in front of Soldo, obviously his not ready , however I think CCJ is going to be a beauty and like the option he can give resting forward.

Biggest factor against the Cats will simply be mental application, can’t be a bit off against anyone, especially the team on top of the ladder

And you rated Naish's game better than Menadues? I thought Naish was poor in quite a number of contests and his kicking was a bit below par. Dont want to lnock Naish as overall I have been impressed by his improvement this year, but today he looked a VFL player while Menadue looked above the level as he has all year.

That is also an improvement for Connor because he has been flaky at AFL level and VFL level in previous years but been good this year at both levels.

I think what we see with Connor is conservatism bias where people favour prior evidence over new and emerging evidence.

I am not sold on Connor yet either but he is clearly a different player this year to previous years.

What emerging evidence! Was shown out again against Essendon in conditions that required some sort of contested effort and failed and was dropped again. He's not cut for AFL level. Great VFL player, no arguments from me. Naish is ready to be given a go and I think and hope he will this year. Consistent performance deserves reward. Has averaged 26 disposals this season and Richmond fc has put up a 2 minute highlight video of his game today.

Forget about blooding more kids. Now is not the time (unless it’s CCJ for Soldo ;D).

Time to start bringing back seasoned hard bodies.

Lambert, Graham, Rioli and possibly Townsend a good start.

Lambert should be back. Graham has done well since coming back. Townsend is playing some good footy. Rioli is completely out of form. Wasn't running over the ground as you'd normally see at VFL level today.

Might be time to give Rioli a real break, not playing VFL, but going home for a week or two.

Would be great to have Lambert back, he is very valuable, hopefully he can recover by Friday.

Sounds like Naish is not ready, I can't see Menadue making it at AFL level, too many chances already.

Soldo has to stay in, CCJ is a great prospect but not ready yet and Chol looks like a good experiment which didn't work, that happens.

Have we not spent the last week saying “Menadue didn’t deserve to be dropped but someone had to go for Cotchin” and now we’re saying he doesn’t deserve to come back in?

We're gonna get flogged unfortunately.

I don't think it matters who comes in. We've lost a bit of our mojo this season due to injuries and the form of a few.

Bring in the miracle man, at least if we lose a couple of geelong players will have loaded undies.

No, he didn't. He did ok in an unfamiliar role but someone had to make way for the skipper. You could argue he went out for Butler, who was terrible, so a net loss there.

He's not cut for AFL level.
Nonsense.

Unless you're Menadue?

Yeah, but we lost. Gotta take it out on someone, so they turn on the whipping boy who wasn't even playing.

Dimma: We got manhandled.
Match committee: Should we bring in a slightly built 20-year-old outside winger debutante?

Geez spooker you're carrying on like Connor Menadue is a stocking full of wallnuts. :hihi
;D

Fair enough, mate. He has greater physical presence than Naish, though.

Is Hawkins out?
For a team sitting pretty on top, it’s very undisciplined.

Evens things out. No jack no mud guts

From todays game

I say Graham and Townsend may be in

We need bigger bodies.

Play Townsend on Stewart - he gets plenty of the ball and a strong player is needed to go with him.

Rioli did not do much today but may be a better AFL player but does not seem to be running well

Naish a chance to come in but has to play wing - he is not a backman
makes sense

Abd therein lies the problem with Menadue. Always excuses for playing poorly, this time an unfamiliar role. Why an unfamiliar role, cause we can't find a role he does consistently well in at AFL level. Next time we need to experiment try someone who hasn't had a chance yet because Menadue has had many and failed. That's just reality.

Those who are wanting Bolton’s head have short memories and no imagination,

In Graham Lambert
Out Broad Higgins
B Valistun Grimes Garthwaite
HB Stack Edwards Houlie
C Bolton Balta Ellis
HF Butler Graham Castagna
F Caddy Lynch Baker
R Soldo Cotchin Martin
I/C Astbury Lambert McIntosh Prestia

But given his age and how long he’s been in the system playing against men, versus Naish, wouldn’t you naturally expect that to be the case?
