Changes v Bombers

.we need to address our centre clearance issue...we've been murdered there for too long.
.chol's character is the polar opposite when the ball is being disputed on the ground compared to a ruck contest... he's a contested ball animal with freakish ball skills, unparalled octopus like reach & tackling aggression...& when gets it finds space where there is none.. all perfect attributes for a random centre bounce...he's like no other in this position & would totally change our mindset...intimidation scales immediately reversed ..cotch, shai , dusty & pickett all of a sudden all walking a bit taller...would be replacing graham, a warrior & neat kick but too small & slow for his role.
.nank/ soldo combo is preferable for a realistic tilt at double chance & finals campaign...too much collateral damage for one & is showing on ivan's output quality...hopefully nank can rapidly build his fitness base cos when hes unfit, hes really unfit.
.not sure room in the side for stack & rioli, especially when shedda back...watching closely .
.our forward line ball retention has gone backwards this year, in part due to dusty ribs, slack jack & one hand lynch...all on the improve of late.
.the critical ingredient in those 3 performing with maximum confidence, is having the 3 fastest smalls surrounding their efforts, exerting maximum continued pressure on flooding opposition...the fastest, markov has surprising kicking & late decision making talents & could be argued better suited for wing or half back but our signature forward pressure demands his presence.
.george is next ..everyone here wants his head but not me...no doubt less productive of late but too much has been asked of his role, continually being required to compete in the air, fellow smalls being too slow for flood pressure backup & even having to chop out in defence & distribute...his role is high speed contesting, covering & leading...bloody important, under rated & often not appreciated on tv....will be better with markov backup.
.the third small has to be lambert marathon man...quick & strong all day.
.bench from rioli, stack, houli, nank, aarts, rcd

Bring in RCD or Dow for the centre clearances and see how he goes. If Graham is going to *smile* back home to Adelaide then we might as well start test driving his direct replacement

Selection always tough, and they will do what they do. But to drop Cholly or Aarts would be tough calls. They had quieter games last week but prior to that had been consistently doing more that lets say Rioli.
4 good games, 1 bad - though the turnstile and out the gate? That's t/rough

But whatever it takes to win. Ask Feathers and Ross about getting a raw deal

We need to get match fitness into Nank. Problem I see is who goes out?
Soldo playing sore and sure needs a spell
Cholly has been pretty good but last week was a mare.

If it's Nank/Chol, Mabs cannot afford to go missing this week as Nank is easing into it. Cholly to step up!

I like the idea but his RCD or Dow clearance players and will they have a impact.

Not for me. As the poster formally known as Easy Tiger said, and as did Jermain Clement - it's business time.

On form your looking at Castagna and Chol.

Works well for our two supposed ins.

CCJ unlucky with his foot injury.

Out: Aarts, Soldo (rested)
In: Houli, Nank

Markov to join the forwards.

Aarts unlucky. Rioli and Castagna on notice with Aarts waiting in the wings.

Going on Dimma's presser Nank not playing this week. Being held over for the Weagles.

Said Houli and one more in.

I have a feeling RCD might get the call up. Prestia is very doubtful to make it back this year so another midfielder clearance player tryout is possible. Just a hunch!

in the presser, nank and caddy playing in today's scratch match. Dimma said Nank wont play against Bombers, and I doubt Caddy will either

Where is Higgins at? I would play him instead of George.

I understand that we would like a settled side come finals but I just think we are “settling” for our tried and tested players. We need an injection of youth and maybe the unknown, in 2017 it was Graham and Towner, in 2019 it was Bolton and Pickett maybe this year we bring in an untried player or two for the last 5 games. We are persisting with Stack and Rioli who are both so far off their best and why oh why is George ..no I won’t say it. I was calling for him to be dropped so many times leading up to 2017 GF and so many times I was wrong.
