Changes for Dreamtime

cant see a changes thread?

Out: Hopper (calf), Miller

In: Sonsie, Ivan

should keep us even and get it done. Hopefully Danny is OK.

Nank maybe a smokey to return instead of Ivan?

either way, Sampson will revel as 2nd ruck.
Ivan said on Friday night still a few weeks away.

Clarke to start for Hopper. Nank in for Miller if 100% fit. No need for a like for a like with Hopper plenty to roll through the midfield as is.

Essendon have been interesting this year. They have been competitive but have only taken 1 real scalp (Melbourne).

Of course, we can’t go onto this game thinking 4 points is a certainty because of our recent good record against them. But it would have to have some psychological effect on them.

I was listening to SEN the other day and someone (I think it was Cornes) said Essendon’s problem is that they pay too much money to keep average players. Darcy Parish was used an example. The guy is a good accumulator without being a star. That’s not far off the truth.

My biggest concern this week is the weather. We have been very poor in 2 wet weather games so far.

It’s also a bit of a banana skin game. If we lose this week, it’ll make the Geelong win meaningless. All games are important, but this is an extra important game as well need to consolidate last weeks result.

We've won every Dreamtime match since 2015. reckon we could play our VFL team and beat Essendon this year.
A post designed to get a response? Ok...being over-confident is always risky. Anything can happen to upset our chances and any team is capable of having a top game where everything goes right. They beat Melbourne. We've only played 2 good games, still improving, so let's see how the next 4 weeks pan out. On the other hand, you may be right!

Given you have to pay 95% of the salary cap then by definition if you are a bad team you are overpaying your players.

Someone has to get it.

Who is getting the $$$ at Hawthorn?
Which suns player got overpayed massively and the weird situation that created? (He went to Geelong)

I just think this minimum creates all sorts of retention and attraction issues with integrity of pay Lucky for us we’ve had the reverse issue of needing to underpay our stars. But then others won’t have salary cap room to make a massive play due to this minimum.

What would you say to an average player? Look we are going to pay you 800k a year but you resllly should only be getting 500k but we have this minimum cap. If we get a better player we are going to move you back to 500k so we can pay that person the money they should be getting.

According to the Gettable show on ALF.com, Gresham's been on 800k! Nice player but puts TT on 750 into perspective.

Hey Ian4 , I see a problem with your post !
You were listening to Cornes

we have to be cautious , the Dreamtime game gets both sides up and about
we have to bring the form from last week
4 goals to Cotch would get up a few noses

assuming only forced out is hopper, for me its:
- Ross back in middle (seems to be his best spot)
- K-Mac on wing/fatside and Pickett on the skinny side
- NoahC in and forward
- Sonse as the sub, getting hungry

not fussed if Judd or Mullet misses (maybe give Bauer a crack? Someone with some aerial presence would be a good thing)

Brad Scott has a winning record against Dimma? Can someone verify the stats.
Bombers are due.

Nank will play, won't he? On the first half then subbed off? Maybe managed through almost three quarters?

It's this week or next.

Juddy only had the 10 touches in a full VFL game but (I'd forgotten) played a half on the Friday night. That said, Morris gave him a quiet clip on his lack of impact in the first half. And was less enthusiastic about Sonzarelli. Banks had 13 touches on a HBF FFS.

Cumberland got a rap. Might get a running job as sub? Or does he play forward to augment Nankervis?

Hmmm. In Nank and Cumbo. Out Hopper and Minson.
