Changes for Dreamtime

As the season progresses, if we get to the point where our bottom 6 includes players like Dow, Ross, Mansell, Kmac and Ralphsmith, and they can be relied on to play a solid four-quarter role, then that will be a good thing.

Many a big match is decided not just by how each team's stars perform relative to each other, but who has the better bottom 6 ... who has the most weak links in the chain that can be exploited by their opponents.

Dreamtime at the 'G is a sellout

This match is a fully ticketed event, with no further tickets to be released. Members with general admission access who have not upgraded to a reserved seat via Ticketek will be unable to attend.

Did Tippa eat Dean Rioli?

Good to see Dow is getting a go, I think we have all had doubts, you don't get picked for the seniors, you play VFL. If you play well in the VFL you get a chance back in the seniors. Dow has performed well in the VFL so hopefully he can take his opportunity and play well.

I'm glad Nank is back because of Draper. Just hope he is ready.
Draper has been poor this year and is surviving on reputation and Essendon's lack of available talls.

Nank should have a field day.

I'm sad to see unforced changes to a winning side.

But I'd be off the deep end to say Miller is a better tall option than three time premiership ruckman Toby Nankervis.

So I won't say it.

Will Nank be first ruck?

Hopefully he and Ryan get equal time in the middle. Samson has been a weapon for us.

i'm hoping the magnet movers don't underestimate samson's directed winning taps (&50/50s) .
-enormous role in our turnaround
isit ridiculous to think nank could play a centre bounce/midfield role not rucking?
Reckon nank is one of the worst at HTA. He is great dropping back and competing.
Samson is Statistically the best IN THE AFL for anyone with over 30 hit outs. Crazy.

Bombers have a pretty short back line

193 Baldwin
192 langford
195 Ridley

Will be interesting to see who takes Nank/Ryan when foward and Ridley is more of an interceptor rather than a Key big defender that plays on a man.

Redman is a player we need to keep a watch on and they run their attacks from backs through him

First time I've noticed (sub) being listed as the reason for an out. But can't say I study the teamsheets that closely so I could be wrong for the first time ever.
When a sub from the previous week isn't named in the starting 22, it's listed in that way

If they have to play Langford back it’s a win for us because he has been a decent forward for them this year

Not a good night for footy tomorrow night.
8 degrees and showers or rain.
This year we have not done well in the wet.

Wasn't Draper BOG against Melbourne??

Personally I think Draper is over rated. He has a bogan haircut and a goal celebration which gets people interested for some reason, but other than that, he isn't a top quality ruck.

He is average in every stoppage ranking.

So is he a high possession ruck. Nope. Ok at the contested stuff but below average for rucks un uncontested possessions.

The thing that he does well, is get involved in scoring chains and thats shown in the goals he has scored this year (averages almost a goal per game).
